I ordered a Tundra Platinum in June of 2021 with every available factory option including the Windchill Pearl color. When ordering that pearl white it forced all other available options of the factory running boards, the sunroof and the spray in bed liner. All that came standard once you chose that color. My truck arrived at the dealer in August of 2021. The truck currently has about 45,500 miles on it. This is the first new vehicle I owned that never had one single warranty issue with it. I use it to pull my 7,000 lb camper all over the US. I love my Tundra and got a lot of truck for the money. If I recall I paid just under $57,000 in 2021. When I ordered the truck my intent was for its resale potential and bullet proof reliability. So far it has delivered on its promise.

@MrChipDouglas1 I have a 2WD 2016 Canyon with LT285/65R18 Toyo Open Country A/T III tires on the back and 235/65R18XL Toyo Open Country H/T tires on the front. If 285s (32.6 inch Overall Diameter) fit on a Canyon, I would think that a Tundra could handle 35-inch tires without any problems.

Nearly 3 years ago, I drove to Tyler Texas from DFW to get my 2015 Tundra TRD Offroad 4x4 - It's the doublecab and it came with an ARE carpeted camper shell, and Katzskin black leather seats with the Texas Star and they're heated/ventilated. Someone spend alot of $$ doing nice upgrades. I've since added TRD grill/TRD Pro LED headlights, Morimoto tail lights, full Bed Rug, OEM Tacoma leather steering wheel, DD yellow SAE fogs and grill light bar, Ironman Foam Cell Pro 3.5" suspension lift, Method 705 +25 wheels and BFG Ko2. De chromed all the interior parts....TRD Pro exhaust/added X pipe to quiet the highway drone. It's a dream truck for sure. 127K now and it drives like it's new.

Best investment he could have made in my opinion as a 2021 CREWMAX Cavalry Blue TRD Off-Road Limited edition owner. He shouldn't have engine problems in theory, but don't forget Andre, you have 4.30 axle ratio !! Prepare for the Tow Haul grunt!! Congratulations!!
@Jay-me7gw2 ай бұрын
The 4.30 axle ratio is just to make up for the ridiculously tall gear ratios in the Tundra transmission. The first gear was 3.333:1 Ford and GM 6 speeds were >4.0:1 first gear. The ford was 4.17:1. Literally the 4.30’s in the tundra are equivalent to 3.43:1 axles in an F150. I specifically did not buy a 2007-2015 Toyota Land Cruiser with the same 6 speed because of how bad the transmission ratios are.

@@Dsrterra Have to remember engineers aren't the people making the final say. If Toyotas goal is to cut costs or reduce a standard that's just what will happen and that was the reason for them to remove it.
