Genius jig!! Now you have a scoop and tapper that will last for a lot longer than plastic!
@tfturning2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I think the plastic one will still live in a drawer as it'll probably just end up in landfill if I chuck it out. Glad you like it, was a lot of fun this one. 😁

Thanks buddy! That grip chuck was inspired but you saw it for the first time as I did when cobbling it together 😂 Now I know it works I can have a proper go at making one that might look a bit prettier, rather than a Frankengrip haha. Go on, flick the kettle on, I'll have one!

Nicely done. For some projects I've spent more time making a jig than the actual thing.
@tfturning2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I know what you mean, when I do a production run of something the first thing is to make one item, then a template which will often take longer but ultimately speeds up the rest of the job. Nothing more time consuming than having to constantly go back and forth changing the caliper sizes. Thanks for watching!

I think that's a massive improvement on the plastic one, especially as you need a bit of compaction to make espresso! Great work!

Very nice. Smells good from here. I’m guessing you got the size of the scoop right. Well done Clint.
@tfturning2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Doug, it scoops there or thereabout the same amount as the plastic one but it did work out a wee bit shorter than I'd wanted, my own fault, i've always struggled with getting close to spheres, guess what i'll be practicing soon haha. Thanks for watching!
@MarkMcCluney2 жыл бұрын
So, you're a three-scoop-man eh? Just the kind of steel-nerved chap we're looking for in... the Department. (cue spy music) Personally my nerves are like jelly and I held my breath all the way through the hollowing of the scoop. Great vid as always Pog, you just go from strength to strength. Cheers mate. (I'll be in touch about the spy recruitment thing. In the meantime, don't tell anybody.)
@tfturning2 жыл бұрын
Haha cheers Mark, I will keep watch for 'the sign'! 😂 The scoopy hollowing wasn't too bad really, for the second refinement of the grip I am going to countersink the screws as that looked like the only bit that could have caused problems. Very much against the temperature clock yesterday though, was close to 30°C at noon when hollowing and finishing up 😂 😅 Thanks mate, hope you're well!
