Grew up watching '96-2000 when we got 4 in 5. Some of the earlier moments... So much nostalgia... The problem with the 2004 to 2007 teams was that they were built to dominate the regular season offensively but they had little starting pitching, a strength of the team in 2000-2003. And the 2010-2012 team had a similar problem, on top of which Kevin Long had poisoned the offense with his "take-take-take" philosophy which was a joke when you had guys like Cliff Lee just firing in strikes all night.

I'll always love the Fab5.. Derek Jeter, Andy Pettite, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, and Bernie Williams. Such class acts stand up players. Even tho they lost (once in a while) it always seemed they won every time they stepped in the field. To us Fans. Watching them play for their while careers. We were the winners. I always wish baseball hadn't gone on strike, was it '95? Growing up I was a huge Don Mattingly fan. Another class act. Always thought he deserved a real shot at winning a world series ring. How can you not love the history, the heritage, the mysticism, the ghosts of Yankee legends. ❤❤❤
