I have never met a person that dislikes this mask. The only reason why someone would avoid this is because they are strict anti silicon but people need to give things a chance. If people wasn't so anti shampoo theh could use silicones. Not using a cleansing agent for your scall and hair is disgusting. Cowashing doesn't do enough. It deposits more things into the hair and people wonder why their hair is dry. Get that gunk off. Also silicones lock in moisture if the hair is wet prior. It's like an aggressive synthetic oil. Just clarify it off and restart your intake of moisture, it isn't that serious.

Yep that’s so true!! Using only a conditioner to cowash will just build up. A great thing about alot if the cowashes that they sell nowadays, is that they actually do have mild cleansers in them. So that does help. But like you said, you really do need a good clarifier once in a while. And yes this mask is SO NICE that I’m actually happy that I use shampoo 😂

I had that same stress moment when I read a silicone was in it AFTER I put it in my hair 😫😂 but thought it’s at the end so maybe it’ll be OK. I wanted to switch to this after my first years of natural using Eden Bodyworks jojoba DC which was getting SUPER heavy. Had my first use of the honey mask this week and didn’t even add heat (which I will next time as its normally in my routine) and still DAYYUM 👏🏽👏🏽 Just happy to see someone going through the same emotions I went through 😹

Hey! I am not sure if you even still need this advice, but when it comes to protein overload you should be using a protein free clarifying shampoo. It helps to remove the excess protein coating the hair. So clarifying your hair and then adding the moisture back. Also, this mask is a great option if you are dealing with protein overload

@@FitBabe Lol no problem. Trust me, the problem is only temporary. Just clarify your hair and use products with little to no protein. The excess protein will fade from the hair in a few weeks or so. My hair is doing much better now, so try not to stress too much. Also I think curlsmith has a protein free deep conditioner if you want a better alternative to the honey miracle mask.

Hey Hey - I've been seeing this alot - I am just learning about the whole low porosity hair process. Can you tell me - Is this something you'd use for every wash or is this a once a week treatment thing? Because I was thinking of getting the 'As I am Coconut Co-Wash' and then yeah - So many products I'm trying to get my head around and wow I don't even know where to begin. lol - a.k.a HELP! lol

Hey Tasha, I can imagine that it’s a lot! This deep Conditioner is a once a week thing. And it moisturizes. The Cowash is more of a mild cleanser. So usually you would cleanse- deep condition- wash out & moisturize (Leave in, cream etc). And then you style. If you use a cowash when you have low porosity, You don’t need to use a deep Conditioner in my opinion. The cowash doesn’t open the cuticle enough to be effective. If you truly are low porosity, I would advise using a mild shampoo once a week and if you REALLY like a cowash and want to wash your hair more than once a week, you can alternate that with a cowash midweek. I hope it helps. I know it’s a lot. But just take the time to learn. Last year, I started doing 1 on 1 Skype calls helping people through the process getting to know their hair better. Especially when it comes to Porosity and picking the right products and hair routine. It do charge something for my time ($30-$35 for a call and if you want more calls the price drops), but I noticed people really appreciate the 1 on 1 advice. No worries if you’re not interested. Just letting you know that I have started helping people.

And I'm orginally from Australia and we don't even have ANY of these products available to us there) Thanks for the info about your call option too - brilliant business idea - nice work!
