I think the biggest issue I have with the fatalities/heroic brutalities is that so many of them just feel the same. Sub-Zero and Shang Tsungs fatalities are both the same fatality when you think about it.

I don't know why NRS has taken to putting him in a white sleeveless vest whenever they can but I wish we got more skins like either the armor or his 9 alt. Way better than what they've been doing with him in 11.

Hot take, I don't think the Fatalities being tamer is the problem in of itself as there are a few half decent ones. I think the bigger issue is that they clearly didn't have the creative juices to give everyone two each within the confines of being tamer and thus you get characters having two fatalities that are effectively the same thing but with a different pose. That and there tamer nature causes some of the heroic brutalities to look just as lethal as them.

Flash's should've been the camera behind the character having the fatality performed on, the sound of flash dashing then the character just falls to the ground as a lump of flesh only to show Flash holding the skeleton of the character, eyes and organs attached AKA he just phased to take their skeleton Catwoman could've just been a full on scratching post until it showed organs

The thing is that they couldnt show severe mutilation or dismemberment so characters who can use their powers to either obliterate their opponent or skeletonize them have the edge since they can technically write around it. Sub Zero can just shatter people with no need for giblets, Scorpion and Raiden can just do some bullshit magic and throw up a Party City Skeleton and Kitana's Kiss of Death is abstract and goofy enough for them to get away with blowing the opponent up.
