The woman says "you are gonna die, you will" but with a huge spaniard accent (I am from Spain). Take into account that this was developed in the 90s so...practically no one in Spain had english classes at all and probably that VO was not a professional as this game was probably developed by two or three people in a garage (as were most videogames in that era)

I am spanish, and played it in arcades back in the day. I always remembered the game being cool, Contra-like, the moving platform stage... but could not remind the title, until a few years back when I finally rediscovered it. Gaelco made cool games in the 90s, both 2D and 3D.

This was a great breakdown and reivew of such an underrated arcade title! Gaelco certainly made some interesting and fun titles back when they were still in operation and many of their titles are certainly worth checking out, especially if you enjoyed your playthrough and experience with TH Strikes Back. While they certainly don't have a large library of arcade games, they are worth checking out and it would certainly be interesting to see your opinion/critic of some of their other titles. Also, a few of their arcade titles did actually get released in the US, though they were more likely the type of titles that could easily get missed amongst the other competitors and more the titles you would stumble across a family resort, pizza joint or some mini arcade at a bowling alley. Some recommended titles would be: World Rally Championship, Big Karnak, Alligator Hunt, Surf Planet and Radikal Bikers! Keep up the great reviews and sense of humour that you apply to your videos.

This literally has to be the most manly, testosterone drenched arcade game ever. You play as two shirtless throwing energy blasts with them constantly shouting in their pictures on screen. Where you finish each stage doing DBZ power up[ poses and you just start flying into space with the power of your manly awesomeness because only wusses need air

I own an Evercade with 2 Gaelco carts. I've played both Thunder Hoop and Thunder Hoop 2. The difference is enormous. Thunder Hoop is a strange platformer with fun cutscenes that I finished once and never played again. TH2 is a fantastic run and gun that I have completed several times. In addition to the first Thunder Hoop game, the Gaelco cart 1 contains a cross hair shooter called Aligator Hunt. Many enemies from Aligator Hunt return in TH2 as if the game takes place in the same universe.

I could never get the second game's set to work on mame, but have fond memories of playing the first game on holiday in spain in what must've been 1998. I was completely unaware of dragon ball z at the time but they deffo took a lot of influence from Goku, and also from the game Toki.

I was sold on the Spaniard commenter that claimed she said " You will die, you will" but yes it does sound like a shitty voice actor or non native language speaker giving a Ben Stein like delivery of Mwah. Instead of what I assumed the writer's intended MuWahahaha. Read the villainous laugh in The Monarchs voice from The Venture Bros. Replaying the sound several times, as a sound engineer I have to say it's definitely 100% inconclusive. Can't even reliably trick my ears into hearing one or the other consistently. CC subs skip over whatever is said after die as if to say its assuming the last part wasn't even words. 🤔
