With a slight mod. to the housing, a turbo could also serve duty as an alternator. But, the idea is to subject a part to extreme heat with materials that are substandard, so it has to be replaced. Make worke project # 570 000.

Don't even waste your time with adding a turbo to an engine. It's more efficient to just buy an engine that has a setup with a turbo or even a vehicle. You have to add a lot of parts to support and supply a turbo like Oil/coolant lines, Intercooler and piping, Headers, O2 housings etc.

I would prefer to get a proper manufacturer replacement part as the warranty is void on UK cars if you don't use original parts. You can have your vehicle repaired and serviced anywhere, but original parts MUST be used in accordance with manufacturers specifications. Aftermarket parts are not as good as original
