The Lost Work of Chomper's (Cancelled FNAF Fangame)

Chomper's is a FNAF fan game that was unfortunately cancelled recently due to some controversies surrounding the game's director. I'd like to discuss some of the content that's been released from the unfinished project.

Hey, it's Cokos! I'm here to explain the context and story behind my renders for Chomper's so people can understand better. 9:50 Ben is in the kitchen with Honey the bee, and I made this render for a earlier idea of how this sequence would work out (inspired by Jurassic park) And this sequence would've been for a boss fight where you would have to lure honey into the freezer and freeze her to death. 10:14 This shot was a test on getting the style of Midway (springtrap) perfect. Nothing much to talk about, you can see the tally marks and dry blood on the signifying he's been stuck in the safe room for a very, VERY long time. Which I would like to thank Judy (the composer and concept artist) for helping me get the pose right! 10:35 This was a death scene concept that I had thought of. Yes, the game would've had gore and blood and this was an opportunity to make this scene more detailed. With how lives worked in the game, you'd get knocked out at first, and then second time you got caught you'd get stabbed or brutally lost your limbs. Hope this explains enough!

This news is definitely a huge betrayal to me. I'm currently working on a fairly big game that Ultranite worked on (until the controversy) called "The Rat Cave", and we showed him everything. I'm confident that he was planning on leaking our stuff at the end of it all.

When I heard to controversy I had this idea, but I want to run it by someone who knows more about it, I want an honest opinion as I know little to nothing and I want my opinions to be based on facts. What about revealing a trailer using the current assets? Lil show what it is now, make it clear that this is what you have CURRENTLY, but also say “coming soon” basically it will be done when it is done and is susceptible to change. I seen it would defuse the situation and make it so the “leaks” lose their power as you showed what was in the game. (unless it I story or endings than I don't know why to do there). Is that possible? Or is it stupid?

It most likely will. Usually when something is cancelled or the owners turn out to be bad people a new owner or team takes that place to pick up the pieces. Like when Scott cawthon retired Steel wool took his place and continued to work on Security breach.

It's possible, one of the higher up team members or another developer may pick up the project. Typically canceled projects are eventually picked up assuming they have enough stuff to salvage it so I think we'll see Chompers back in 1-3 years

This is a great video to watch. It tackles the current situation in a different fashion by appreciating the lost work done for the Chomper's game. Working with Chomping with Chomper was very fun despite some problems during its development. Thank you so much for shouting out members of the Chomper's Dev Team, it really means a whole lot to me and the Chomper's Dev Team to at least get something out of the amount of work that was wasted. It's really a shame that one person's actions can steal away precious time and work from a dozen people. That's time they won't get back, that is now totally wasted. Experience they can't really use to their advantage, efforts all gone, because of one person. Worst part is, it applies to more than just fangames. Really any group project has that risk, unless you have someone in charge who can nip it in the bud... Unfortunately, we know who played that role in this case. Definitely feel like if he hadn't been in charge, Chomper's might've continued and finished development without him.

Why not find someone else to make chompers? They didn't have to cancel it entirely. They could have just delayed it until they found someone else to run the project.

I think the downside is that Ultranite and the other baddies already have inside info on the plot and gameplay. So just getting someone else to finish it would be pointless if someone else could just leak everything they know. You would have to drastically change everything, the characters, the mechanics... and by then you're already back at square one for making a game.

When I first saw Chomper's I was interested in the game it had, unique and original animatronics, good lighting, creepy atmosphere, and good animations that were kind of creepy especially the blinking while the animatronics where moving I liked the game it was cool in my opinion I think Scott would of had it in the fanverse it was a game that had something going for it had potential of being something unique from the rest and being a masterpiece but then it all went down the drain and was canceled cause of the creators fucking purposely childish act I hope the creator is ashamed of themselves for what they did and creating a group with 2 other devs that had also great games that had potential and also were hoping to be in the fanverse but those 2 other devs also did some childish and all 3 of there games and there potential went down the drain and I wanted to say I am very sorry to all the innocent people who worked on these games who also had hope of these games being in the fanverse we feel bad for you and thank you for the amazing work you have done for these games its phenomenal every person who worked on these games each one of you have great potential and I hope to all of you innocent devs who were part of these games to succeed and feel better soon.

One thing that I really liked about the designs of the characters is the way they use colors, since FNAF 1 used primary colors and brown, this game used secondary colors for the eyes, which is just a very cool detail.

Since the game got cancelled. I am officially Rebranding the game for my own Fnaf fan game series Five Nights At Owen's. I was originally planned to Rebrand Jollibee's and Jollibee's Phase 2, but 2 other people were rude to me about this and I changed the name of them from Jollibee's And Jollibee's Phase 2 To Joy Time And Joy Time Phase 2, so since the plan was to Rebrand Jollibee's and Jollibee's Phase 2, I scrapped it, and decided to Rebrand Chompers Instead

I was kind of hyped for this game when it was first announced, and I was pretty excited for this game to come out, that is until I heard that it got canceled out of nowhere through this very video. I feel horrible for the other developers who worked so hard to make this game, only for all of their hard work to incinerate right in front of them because Ultranite and a few other developers ruined everything... Thanks a lot Ultranite.
