Awesome build but out of curiosity why did you go with a th400?

If they had better planetary gear sets for the 4r70w I would of stuck with that trans, I’m not a fan of a PG I feel th400 is a better choice for this combination. 6r80 was on the list but the current aftermarket controllers are just not up to the task yet, other then maybe Motec. We really need someone to develop a good planetary for the 4R.

@@Wilsonandcars completely understandable only so much power that the weak 4r70w can take, even fully built seen them having issues so not surprised. Hopefully some aftermarket will take notice and figure something out for those who are trying stick with what their vehicles originally came with

Depends on your budget and if you have good mechanical skills. One could upgrade a stock TH400 fairly cheap with just a 34 sprag and some good clutches and a valve body.
