THAI BASIL CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS
Chicken Thighs- cut in bit size pieces(Approx 300 grams)
Big Garlic Cloves 5-6 (Approx 28 grams)
Thai Red Chiles- 4 to 5
Fish Sauce- 1 Tbsp
Oyster Sauce- 1 Tbsp
Light Soy Sauce- 2 Tbsp
Brown Sugar- 1 Tbsp
Sweet Soy Sauce-1 Tbsp ( optional)*
1/4 Cup of water
Vegetable Oil/Canola Oil-1 Tbsp
Sliced white onions-1/3 Cup ( Approx 50 grams)
Few Thai Basil leaves
Few Italian Basil leaves ( Around 15-20 leaves)
Cornstarch slurry ( 1 Tsp Cornstarch + 1 Tbsp water)

TIPS
1) Grind Garlic & Red Chili mixture to a coarse paste using pulse mode.
2) Thai Chilies are very spicy. So use as per your heat tolerance .
2) Don’t add salt in the beginning. All the sauces contain a lot of salt. Once the dish is finished cooking, taste and add salt only if required .
3) Cook chicken longer if you want a thicker sauce.
4) I prefer light consistency of the sauce as it pairs perfectly with Jasmine rice.
