For everybody calling the kids "stupid,"; The Summer monsoon season hasn't begun in late June for over three decades. It usually doesn't rain more than a couple inches until at LEAST the second week of July, and so nobody can really be blamed for thinking an excursion inside a cave system they'd all explored numerous times already every year would remain dry enough for at least three more weeks. They we're extremely unlucky, not stupid. Late season rainfall is minimal, (2-3 inches at a time,) and far between until at least July 14th. (There is even a giant sign, installed in 1984, at the cave entrance warning against exploring AFTER July 14th.) Even they knew it would likely rain that afternoon, but only a couple inches, max. By every metric the risk of the annual monsoon season starting on that particular day was almost completely zero percent. They're lucky to be alive. What have YOU ever done, in your life, to improve the lives of others? (Let alone save them?) Think about that as you comment in relative anonymity in the safety of your nice, warm home.

As much as I dislike the voice acting and exaggeration of this video, the story itself is certainly heartwarming. I must admit, as a Brit, I felt very patriotic and supportive of the brave British men and women who went to lend their aid in the rescue. Making fun of the rescue mission, especially when someone *did* die during the operation is horrible. You should be ashamed of yourself. There were likely to have been lots of support personnel from all nations helping out. Military engineers, logistics experts, not just the two British divers. Saman Kunan was the only fatality of the operation, a former Thai Navy SEAL. May he rest in peace and may his heroism never be forgotten.

I tried not to cry but when he (narrator) started reading the message of the coach to the parents, I broke down. It really broke my heart. All of the people who went there and help the boys, they're all heroes. A little or big help is still a Help so they're all heroes. They helped one another to rescue the boys. And to that one diver who died, hats off sir. You will forever be remembered. Sacrificing your life in exchange of the life of the others is truly an amazing act. Sir, be happy on heaven. You are again, a HERO.
