Swasdi kub kru mod, I would like to clarify about the word "Can you" in thai. What's the difference between "Rop-guan" and "Chuay"? In your taxi video you said, "p' Chuay bpid pleeng noi dai-mai ka?" Thank you! :)

often checking in at a hotel is one of the most pressurized procedures when you are at your most tired just wanting to relax in your room...so practicing Thai language is going to be difficult ... but at least many of the key phrases used at a hotel are quite repetitive for the standard procedures of checking in and ordering room service

When learning, it can be hard for us, with words sounding so much the same: kheun คืน (night) kheun ขึ้น (to lift/raise). Even now i find myself avoiding certain words like this, and try to ask in another way, like..how much per day..? วันละเท่าไหร่ maybe not 100% but people seem to understand and i dont have to use the tricky word! might be an idea for another video.. how we can avoid tricky words and ask in a different way?? as you know there are so many others. but yes i am a bad student and should study more.5555 to many i am scared to use!!! yang yaak, chan, and all those opposites that sound the same... glai and glai. Thanks so much though..you girls are an AWESOME help!!!

I notice that you use English characters to denote the Thai-language sounds, but also use Thai letters. What is more common in Thailand? Could I just learn the Thai language by using the English letters, or is it easier to learn the Thai alphabet at the same time?

Mii means have than you use another word. Mai makes a question at the end than you use gii in the middle for a question. Khun means you but not used despite the English subtitle claiming it was. I hate this language.

In the video, why is there a 'dtok thee bra-maan'? shouldn't bra-maan is enough for approximately?
@gregheath5336

+Alex Wong. I think it means "reduced to" or literally "fallen to". Am I right K. Mod? :-)
@ThaiwithMod
@ThaiwithMod 8 жыл бұрын
+Alex Wong ตก /dtòk/ literally means 'fall'. It is also used to talk about pricing in spoken Thai. Using just the word 'ประมาณ bprà-maan' alone is also enough. Different people have different way to say the same thing. :)
@ThaiwithMod
@ThaiwithMod 8 жыл бұрын
+Greg Heath . It literally means "fallen to" like you said, but it doesn't means "reduced to". It is just another way to give an approximate price. :)

+ivor nappinion Sorry, but Ko Samet isn't nice anymore and flooded with tourists. There're plenty of much better places available. You'll have to go to Rayong/ Baan Phe to get the ferry, or a speed boat to the island. You'll find nice places in baan Phe and make a day trip to Ko samet. If you really like what you see, you can stay. It was a little paradise 15 = years ago. i remember when there's no light in the evening. Only candles at the beach restaurants. A luxury bungalow for 5 people only 500 baht.

@ThaiwithMod
@ThaiwithMod 8 жыл бұрын
+ivor nappinion I uploaded some photos from my last trip to Koh Samet at the end of this post here: learnthaiwithmod.com/2013/07/samed-island/ Koh Samet is quite big, it has many beaches and everything for everyone. If you like watching people and party then you go to the main beach (Hat Sai Kaew). If you prefer relaxing atmosphere, no tourist crowds , no sellers, no speed boats, there are also a place for you for example Ao Cho Beach or Ao Prao on the west coast. If you don't mind traveling a longer journey, there are other quiet and beautiful islands in Thailand, I share more details here: learnthaiwithmod.com/2015/04/top-4-of-thailands-best-unspoilt-islands/
