I am already familiar with the "ng" sound because of my mother tongue, so I have no problems with this pronunciation but I can say this, the way Kru Smuk explains and teaches in detail how to get the pronunciation correct is very good.

Thank you so much teacher Smuk, for preparing this video and notifying me via e-mail. I've been struggling to differantiate those yellow highlighted sounds (especially bp sound), and it's become clearer now.

I have read in some sources that the reason faces develop different according to region, one of the contributing factors is the language we speak, because different languages uses the facial muscles differently, so if we speak that one or two (or more) languages our entire lives, our face muscles eventually develops a certain way to accommodate the movements necessary for that language. Learning the pronunciation for "bp" is such an obvious example for me because my face muscles needed time to get used to pronouncing this one.

I think thai pronunciation is easier for me than english speakers. I am finnish. We have ä and ö letters. They sound thai❤👍. Like word "kengät". It means shoes. We have hard consonants and rolling r-letter is easy. Perrrrkele. It is curse word here😂.

Thank you! If the อ in ช้อป is a short vowel, why is it not written with เ-าะ ?
@wiputjat
@wiputjat Жыл бұрын
- We also use the อ as the form of "shorten อ (เ-าะ) with a final consonant". example: กระต๊อบ ไก่ต๊อก. - Your example is a borrowed word from English so the tone mark can be excluded and spoken in different tone from how it is written (e.g. คอมพิวเตอร์ in official writing is popularly pronounced as คอม-พิ้ว-เต้อ. Thais don't follow tonal rules much when it comes to English word. And the อ just came in handy to reflect the pronunciation in original language

in 43:30 why did you use high tone for ขี้ instead of falling tone? ข - high class consonant + ี + ้ should be falling tone, am I wrong?

is #2 true only for dead sound end consonants?
@BananaThaiSchool
@BananaThaiSchool 2 жыл бұрын
When a Thai learner pronounce and release the final sounds of the dead ending consonants, it creates confusion for Thai as we do not do that and Thais might mistake the released final sound as another syllable or word. For the Sonorant sounds, it’s fine to release the sound as they naturally comes out from nose and mouth. 😀☺️
