Did not know Gift is from Phitsanulok. I'm there once or twice a year for a month each time with my friend. Recognised the places she was going. Fortunately, my friend lives outside of the town on the hills with cooler wind. Phitsanulok can be very hot and humid but is a great place.

I stay in the same hotel every time I visit Phitsanulok. The beds in the suites are exceptionally comfortable. Love having dinner next to the river and chilling with a few beers.

Man I miss the hotel breakfasts in Thailand. Sometimes they really go all out for the westerners, even crispy bacon. There’s a lady I go to at the market by our house in Chiangmai that makes those square pastries. It’s like a cross between a soapapia and a donut. She puts some kind of syrup in the middle, soooooo good 😋

When I came to Phitsanulok I ate at a river boat off that bridge Gift crosses and stayed at a hotel just on the other side of the bridge. Cool market in Phitsanulok.

Hi Joseph and Gift! Glad to see you guys back on the road!!! Gift I hope you are feeling better, u looked a little worn out at the street market. One thing after surgery it is important to watch for having a staff infection, low grade fever, tiredness, nausea. Make sure that your doctor does blood work to check. If you are taking any type of steroid it can mask the infection. Hope you both stay well!!! Jeffrey

I can't eat raw tomatoes nor any of those HOT DOGS that the Thais call Sausage! 😝 but the rest of the foods I have found around are pretty good! and some of the the more spicy the better!........(I used to eat fresh grown Jalipino and Habanaro peppers!)
