OYO specializes in cheap, which is a step below budget. :) The online reviews of most OYO stays are low because too many people expect to get 3 star quality at a 1-2 star price. It is usually better to look at OYO as an alternative to hostels, where, at the same price, you likely will be sharing a room and almost certainly sharing bathroom facilities.

OYO’s are great , I stay in them all over. They can be hit and miss though. Sone can be proper nice hotels . This one was ok, the night didn’t go to plan though 👍

Cool Wayne! I like short Vlogs like this once in a while. Location seems quiet and I'd much rather stay there then some room above a noisy party street with loud motorbikes, drunks and music. Looks like hotels you used to find back in the late 80's and 90's, but back when Thailand was drowning in tourists they were often like $40/night. Also a bit like a place we stayed in Lao that seemed ok when we checked in, but when the family trying hard to make a go of it took us on a tour of the property, and proudly showed us the water supply that was basically a pump in drainage ditch with raw sewage, I didn't want to embarrass them and we quietly left and let them keep the money.

Amazing value that. Air con too. Surely they charge a bit more than 300 baht a day with that thrown in. On a roasting hot day with the air con working overtime I would imagine their 300 baht would not stretch too far 😂🤣😂 That place is pretty darn good so why the bad ratings. What was the place like once the troops came back from work mate? Noisy? Just the same for one night whatever the situation worth the stay!! Not particularly fond of rock hard beds though 😂 Excellent video Wayne. Cheers buddy 🤩

Good day Wayne. That's a good value room. I stayed in an OYO in Chiang Mai in 2023 and it was $10 USD per night. Interested in what the monthly rate would be for your room. Indeed it will be a steal and maybe you can negotiate a different mattress...lol.

One or two nights as a place to crash after an exhausting day, you probably won't care about a hard bed. Most importantly it looks clean, and you have your privacy. Can't go wrong at that price Wayne.

I wouldn't judge it on one day mate. Get down them back alleys. You won't find the deals in the main places. Santitham good starting point. Welcome to the magical Chiang Mai.

It's no five star but it's a 10 out of 10 for value, it looks clean even on video and has everything from air con to wifi and semi seperate shower stall, I could live there for a year no problemo thanks for sharing this little budget gem.

Not bad price. Get yourself to Yunnan province especially jinghong which is like Thailand. Been traveling around Yunnan for around a month with my Chinese wife and really impressed compared to 10 years ago. Hotel prices are very cheap especially if you use an app called Meituan.

It bad at all. I find oyo hit and miss. Don’t mind a bit banged up furniture but sometimes you can see they never cleaned the shower and mold. Would only take a couple minutes once a week.

Imagine if you done a 6th month contract at £6.50 per day that’s £182 per month thai people will pay 2.50 per month 3000 Wayne your on your own right why not move in to one of these cheap places why not peace and quiet save money it would pay for your visa
