Beautiful place for sure, I was gonna ask if it was a freshwater lake or the coast, my question answered at the end, when you ask us how do you get your boat anchored out in middle of the bay,....bay=coast! Beautiful, clean, efficient looking fishing boats and lol...the pink one,...reminded me of one of those "Things you only see in Thailand" video and you zoom in on a pink car,....you mentioned something my missus would buy, so she'd also buy the pink boat? lol....;)

lol, the little pink car at the market, I remember that.. I think a lake can have a bay, IMO a lake can have a bay, but this was the Gulf of Thailand.

I do miss the ocean, be nice to have a boat again but there rather useless around here, maybe a rowboat would be OK.

I could look at boats all day long, mostly fishing boats for me, the pleasure boats are Ok if that is all that is around....lol

When l retire in Thailand l hope my wife will agree to buy a property by the sea maybe Rayon or south Hua Hin somewhere lije that ... l want to restore a little boat just like these in your video then after l learned maybe l try a slightly bigger one.. a small cabin boat Dam 8 years to go . 😉 😃😃😃😃😃😃 Thanks for your good work .

It's their lively hood and there only way home, have seen lots of poorly maintained boats from all over the world, an accident waiting to happen IMO.

Nice boats for sure. I saw a canoe design that is normal at the front but was flat and wide at the back like that bit on those boats. They said it made it more stable if you were going through breakers and waves. Now I know where they got the idea ;-)

I think the idea is to keep the ass end up out of the water when there steaming full speed, not so sure how much strain is on it in bad weather though.

They are similar to a dorie in a lot of ways, not just the shape and size, but what they mean to the fisherman.

A very pretty area. I guess the many fishermen go out in the day, fish and come back. I guess the coats carry a lot of nets because catches are low. They need to get all the fish they can when they are out. The boats are.very pretty. What would a small boat coat? The boats seem to be very well maintained. Small net mesh means small fish, right?

No idea what these boats are worth, I know pleasure boats are expensive here but not sure about these.

I wonder if those boxes with the antenna house battery operated satellite fish finders / depth sounder thinga-majigs? That's what the screen on that one looked like it might be.

Yes for sure, probably just a CB radio, maybe VHF, and a small compass, nothing connected to a satellite and probably no depth sounder, but it is possible.

When the stern narrows in like that, the boat under power tends to squat in the water. With a wider stern it's not needed. The stack on the light blue boat is actually two pipes, the inside one is the exhaust and the big outside one is just a guard to keep you from getting burned on the hot exhaust pipe.
