I am sure you found the Thai people very hospitable and respectful. They have simple housing in many cases but lead a simple life & don't really want for anything. Kopkunkrap for the video & I look forward to the next instalment. PS get your local sim card at the airport as soon as you clear customs. There are many booths that will fit them & set it up for you

Only left audio channel. How are you coping with corona. I live in the province with most corona cases and also in the city with most cases😷. I’m still ok but also very cautious when out shopping or taking a walk. The future looks a bit grim so this video is very welcome. Spring has come and I would love to go for a ride but I’m waiting a few weeks. I want to see first how bad all is going to be. Beautiful country and very good riding roads. The steep slopes look a bit like in the Dolomites. They were reefs. Lucky you that you had this trip. You can forget doing something like that for the coming months or even longer. If a bike feels a bit unstable, a few clicks on the back suspension often works. It gives a bit more pressure on the front wheel. A battery pack makes recording a lot more easy. Put on recording once and let it run. 🙏🏼

Within the last hour I've returned to home from Spain - I am very aware how shocking this coronovirus is (Spain has a high incidence of cases and is in full on lock down). Hopefully these next few videos can provide some respite from all the bad news.....be safe!

Omg .. we went through that road last time we friends were on a 900km trip. It felt so good seeing Mr Fly was riding here .. we watch your videos and when we found this video, it meant so much. By the way in march when you were riding, i bought a new gs1200 and had plans to ride to chiangmai but by the end or march there was a lockdown and bike was literally in parking for months. As I said in part 1 I spend around 8 months a year in Thailand and there is so much to see, as someone else said, if you get the chance go to Kanchanaburi and go on the railway across the bridge over the river Kwai to hell fire pass very moving experience and in the main part of town the memorial garden to all who died digging through the rocks to lay the railway lines, is kept pristine because the Thai's are very respectful and appreciative of all who lost their lives in the country. Really enjoy your videos and your commentary. Keep up the good work. I have the RE interceptor and love the bike.

Thanks, enjoyed this very much. I've been to Thailand a few times it's a beautiful country and the people are lovely. Had my debit card nicked in Krabi, which is indeed a bit "touristy", but my step son loved the climbing. A lot of the roads like the dual carriage way that you were wondering about are built by "Foreign Aid". I lived in Malaysia on Penang Island (100miles sth of Thai boarder) for a number of years and we saw tens of millions of dollars spent on infrastructure and it was mainly "Foreign Aid" or sweet heart deals to let companies set up in Asia.

Love your enthusiasm for what is now my home, albeit 9 months of the year. Interestingly, the Thai government has tried to ban riding in the back of pickup trucks due to the many deaths following an accident. It's common to see whole families in the back. This so called ban was ignored and subsequently forgotten about as the truck may the only form of transport for the family. I love the way you always leave us wanting more at the end of the episode.......😁🤙

Lovely area, thanks for taking us along. When I had my Tiger 800 XC I had almost instant regret at getting the model with the 21" front wheel. Was a good bike but that skinny front wheel just saps cornering confidence and I wished I had gone with the more road oriented model. Don't know if its KZbin's compression but playback when riding didn't look super clear on my TV. Stable yes. Definitely not persuaded to update my Hero 4 . Still enjoyed the vid 👍

1) Your SIM card sounds expensive. Mine was the same price for 30 days. 2) If you go back it's worth considering buying a cheap mesh jacket (but take a waterproof as well). Also worth getting gear that's not black! 3) Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai (Up north) are where the best biking roads in TH are. 4) Wise to keep a black phone out of the sun if you're not using it.

We tried the Tiger 900 today. My partner tried it as pillion. Mixed bag really. Anyway, my partner much prefers the T120 for riding as pillion and looks. The 900 really goes, plenty of power. The wind protection is much better than the 800. The engine is strange, like a twin to start, then like a triple when it revs. Probably a good tourer. I’ll await with interest for your Tiger 900 reviews. Meanwhile I’ll stick with my Bonnie and CBX.

Loving the tour, spent the winter waiting to get out on the bike now facing lock down so may have to live through your eyes all summer, I found the front end did not give me confidence on my 800 xca, narrow tyre and light at the front so the 900 with it's engine farther forward gives hope, I would buy the road version in future, not that I am in the market for a new bike anytime soon

Police road blocks are often an opportunity for the police to shake down the locals for $ (not for the state but for their own personal wage boost if you know what i mean). Police have a lot of interest in supplementing their income but getting a crime investigated over there is next to impossible, if you pay for investigation they are a lot more active 😂. Make no mistake though, I love Thailand and it’s people and landscapes immensely.

Nice to see the tiger just about coping with the high temperatures over there as I know they tend to run hot! How'd the missus cope pillion? Have the 800 xrt and ride 2 up with my daughter but she says it's not very comfortable on the back. Tried pillion myself and it's arse numbing! Will have to look at bikes suspension set up!

Hey buddy! Great trip! Quick question, is Paul, the guy with the GS a friend of yours or is he a guide that I could contact as well to plan a similar trip? Thanks a lot Tom

Just a pointer - the new camera position seems to be viewing more downwards towards the road and showing very little of the view ahead. Thought you'd like to know

Awesome video as always. Some other countries which drive on the left other than what you have mentioned. Japan, Cyprus, Hong Kong,South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies,Malta, Nepal. Can't think of anymore of the top of my head. Any chance you could review a Benelli TRK sometime?

Good to see both of you on a motorcycle enjoying Thailand, a question if I may, why did the remote not work out, I use a remote but attached(velcro) to the left mirror stem, works a treat, left wrist not good as you have to release the throttle, had a thought re your camera overheating, maybe the stabilisation is working overtime and of course quite extreme outside temps? Cheers

Over heating may have been a problem - it was the sound that caused me most issues, for large chunks of the tour I recorded no sound at all and had to ditch the footage...gutted!

Is that the 21” front claw on that Tiger? I’ve only ridden a few bikes spinning a 21” (not the Tiger) and haven’t found the fit with my style / skill set and where I want to ride. Since you’ve likely sampled a number of models using that set-up, I’d appreciate hearing your opinion.

I know some don't like the 21" front on the road but I really don't have a problem with it - in fact I can't really tell the difference between it and a more road focused 19"......no doubt because I'm not much of a rider!

TheMissendenFlyer: That’s interesting, I do find quite a difference. I like it single track and greasy roads, but would rather a smaller wheel in most conditions. Be safe . . . and wear a damn hat. The glare off your forehead makes my eyes water!
