nice update mate, looks like you have found a good healthy life in Thailand with your long term partner. It might be cheap to live in Thailand, but also an average job income would be low, so you must have good career / income to support a nice life style. I have been 4 times, and have family in Thailand, but not been since pre covid era (Jan 2020. i love the swimming, climbing areas, also mountains, temples, farming communities. the city have too much pollution, its ok to visit but not live full time. have fun and enjoy down south.

Yes you have to hunt for good coffee, lucky Chiang Mai where I live has alot of good coffee shops. Oh yes I should motivate myself to get into a Gym routine lol but never too late to start but figured being over 50 I have to refocus on health and start avoiding all the good food in Chiang Mai lol. Yes when my current Visa runs out I need to consider options like retirement visa, DTV or marriage visa now I am over 50. But I get what you are saying I am from Sydney Australia, but Thailand is my home and could not see myself returning any time soon.

That's funny, I thought my recommendations were just showing me Sai and not you. I thought how did it know? But there are only so many cooking videos I can watch. That bird at the start was probably in shock, they usually end up going to sleep and not waking up after that. I looked and in aussie currency its a bit more expensive. 430Bt is $19.80 so might as well say $20. Still a good price. And lastly, I used to go to the gym. Now I look at you guys working out and look down at my belly and think what a waste of time it was lol.
