Riding scooters around Phuket gives you an entirely personal unique experience no guided tour can really emulate. You make your own adventure. Riding around isn't for everyone though. The streets of Phuket require a certain amount of experience, awareness and skill for the rider. You have to be careful at ALL times. Roads can get gravelly, sandy, wet, dusty or even all of those conditions at any given time. You also can get random animals from chickens, snakes to elephants suddenly appear around the corner. Also the Thai police checks that you also have to be aware of. There are way too many people taking it too easy on the roads in Phuket. No helmet or license that's your own personal choice but accidents are bad for everyone involved. Just be careful out there.

Good weather is good fun to drive na, but sometime when the motorbike is riding with the rain it can be wet na. @@PaulRLight To be fair, where I am from in Australia, a good many of people do not understand how to use an apostrophe either. It is the same reality for many New Zealanders, Canadians and Americans as well. Way back in the run up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a former United States Air Force officer who was living in Beijing was so frustrated with the Chinese misuse of apostrophes on public signs that he went about on a personal mission to correct the signs by using Tipp-Ex liquid paper. Classy. If only a dozen English speaking Chinese picked up on the former officer’s corrections and how the apostrophe ought to be used, then it was all worthwhile. 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 🇬🇷
