I can remember visiting the city, wether by car or train, there was always so much graff to look at. It was like a public art show, and not everyone noticed or paid attention to it. As a young kid into art, you couldn't help but to be wowed by it. The graffitti art form can suck an artist in. It is definitely an easy form of self expression I think. And many many many years from now, after the human species is long extinct, a new species will perhaps discover some graff art and study it.......so bomb some deep caves bitches!!!!!

The throw up style of a writer is, in my opinion, the major factor in judging his/her true skills. Same goes for the quality of tag lettering, especially talking about marker tagging. Nice to see more and more of those coming back to our cities today.

In 1949, Edward H. Seymour, of Sycamore, Illinois, added paint to existing spray can technology at his wife Bonnie's suggestion. It was initially designed to demonstrate an aluminum paint he developed.His patent was awarded in 1951. Spray paint has been used in modern graffiti since its origins, when TAKI 183 began tagging with spray paint.
@MOS-MHz8 жыл бұрын
Shits changed these day though, the late 90's was the shit. During the 90's you could rack paint easily and surveillance was only at big stations even then it was still manageable. Where i live the country has transformed and near impossible to not encounter transit security or police. We used to be able to bomb a whole car and basically walk the whole line bombing everything without an issue. Nowadays surveillance is even at industrial areas with rent a cops everywhere, i still bomb on paper and piece but it's too risky now. Also i agree with clowns that can piece but cant drop a decent tag, tagging is important it's art in itself.

Very interesting. I wonder how many of these guys went on to careers in the arts after developing such skills. There has to be a place in society -- an outlet, if you will -- for those with such a strong creative impulse. They ought to be able to make a living at it, like some of the street artists in L.A. from years ago who went on to achieve great recognition in the arts world and among the wider public.
@outsidermc3874 Жыл бұрын
Why should they make a living out of it? The whole point of graffiti is because of being in stealth mode, being on edge, feeling scared and excited at the same time. It's an adrenaline rush because it's illegal. Its not about money. Its about being rebellious and getting your name up but remaining unknown. That's the whole point of it

Here’s how you steal paint, go to Walmart and take about 5 cans, then go to the outdoor garden area and put them on the ground in the corner and push the cans through the hole in the fence and then walk out the front, go around to the side and pickup the cans and leave, or just put them on the ground in the corner and then come back at night and reach through the fence and pull the cans out and then leave, me and my friend did that with 1 can and it worked
