I accept all the words that this man says because I was with him at that time and I was in that damn prison for 10 years with very difficult conditions. We did not even have the smallest amenities of ordinary people. This man was very strong

My son told me the philosophy for a good a business was to quote higher than you actually charge. So initially it was the death penalty but he was sure that the king was working on an amnesty. Then he got 90 years reduced to 40 years an then down to 18!!!!! Yea he was dam lucky and he made the most of every day. Good on him!!!

Throwing the bored, poor youngsters into prison for a 5 years in to inhumane degrading conditions isn't a great endorsement of a great caring society.

Thanks for sharing Shani and Pete👊I too got arrested in the mid 90s in Thailand with drugs, I was slammed in prison, 40 to one cell, 1 toilet, I had my own Thai trial, paid my way out after 5 months…I saw things which severely altered my life and have never been back to what I refer to as a cesspit of smiling assassins😮corruption personified but wow 18 years…mate big respect ✊

so you got caught with drugs in a country that got the death penalty and you crying about being corrupt well lets twist things if it wasnt corrupt you would have still been in prison or even worst killed. corruptions is world wide not just thailand in america also in europe also if you have money you buy ur way out of prison if not u be there. but still my point is be thankful you were in a corrupt country and you might have found the right people to get you out soon. i know people in thailand getting sentenced 30 to 40 years with 5 grams or less so shush and be thankful

In the women’s prison in Thailand there is also no toilet paper, set up is the same, and they don’t flush! It was really disgusting and awful.

I was in Thailand in 1994. Flying back to London, going through passport control. We were all lined up, then one by one had to stand on a small box then given a pat down search. Never experienced that before

Sorry, but anyone who dabbles in drugs in Thailand is an absolute fool. They use you for years if they want, but they know you. You will get caught, and you know that you'll get a long sentence in dreadful prisons.

I simply don't believe his story about how he planned to stop smuggling if he got away with that flight out of Bangkok. It's an ex post facto rationalisation designed to elicit sympathy. If he got away with it, of course he would have continued......

"I wouldn't say I was a drug dealer." Government disagrees. So funny these guys would kept their delusion even after spending time in prison. Ya'd think prisons would have a class explaining how laws work.
