First came to Thailand in mid-80’s and lived & worked for a Thai company in the 2000’s - my feeling, bar girls have a different emotional tolerance than non-bar girl types. Of course not all Thai girls are the same, but from my experience it seems bar girls including freelancers can be more emotional and narcissistic.

When I lived in Thailand I had an English friend at one of the English language schools where we both worked, and he brought a bargirl back to live with him. A couple of weeks later he decided it was a bad idea and he told her to move out. The next morning he came to work white as a sheet and he told us what happened. She grabbed a huge kitchen knife and held onto the blade with her bare hands (handle extended towards him). He was afraid she would stab him, so he grabbed the knife which cut her hands pretty deeply. True story... after an argument, a girl entered the condo i was renting without me home... told the security she forgot her key...stole my 150 000 5 baht gold necklace, so I ended up reporting it and getting no where. She kept my gold at her place so I went and talked with her friend that she stayed with and simply asked if she would go and grab it for me..." I forgot it in her purse the other day" was my excuse. I guess she didn't tell her friend she stole it... so her friend went and grabbed it for me ( I guess she must of knows where it was at). Well, I got the cops called on me for stealing my gold back and they came to arrest me within the same day. Was a headache but I ended up not going to jail. I never saw myself in the wrong, but it's funny how if they steal your stuff the cops don't care but if you supposedly steal their stuff they will come get you within an hour. They let us both walk away and said not to meet again.

My Thai wife does have a hot-headed streak about her, but it's very fast to cool off, and she nearly always says sorry. I love her very much. She was never a bar girl - she worked at the Pandora factory in administration for a decade before finding a de facto there and opening a shop selling Jok and Isaan curries. She made a fortune while her man went out womanising and drinking himself into a stupor every night. She eventually caught him balls-deep in someone else and she broke up with him. He came back with his family and guns and told her to hand everything she had worked for over to them. Her parents had to go collect her and bring her back to the farm. I had decided before I went looking for her that I was going to go live in Thailand. It was a tough transition, for many reasons. Do I harbor regret? Not in the slightest. My 2c on women: seems wherever you go, men and women are just different. Men are from Mars, women from Venus (it's a good book and worth a read). They have estrogen, ovaries: the woman's brain is physically wired differently to a man's brain. I am from Brunei and have been staying in Phuket since April 2023. In January 2024 recently, I met a mancunion guy who has the same age as me and started on the day we met, we spent everyday together for one week. I have a son with special needs and I can't just up and leave my responsibilities behind. I'm not making money for me, I'm doing it for my family. One day hopefully living overseas will be a reality. We're doing well financially and get to travel to Bali twice a year but that sort of move is very expensive and it would be incredibly irresponsible for me to take my family overseas without some sort of nest egg behind me.

I've been watching Dan for about 6 months or a year. Seems like a nice guy. Great stories. I wish him luck against all the harpies🤣 Edit: if anyone threatened to kill themselves if I left, and tied something around their neck and pulled it tight, I'd get a comfortable chair, and a cool beverage and watch the the show. Pull Harder, lets see what you're made of ladies. Then, when they pass out, I get the car. Or just leave them hanging from the side of the house and try to think, "now how long should I wait before calling somebody..."

I'm currently watching this streamer on Kick called Suspendas. He's ballin out of control buying houses, bikes for uncle and cousin. These stories lean being true if you're not level headed, other than that if you're head strong you'll be ok. ......... Simon was a great story teller and wonder what happened to him. He was the original despite what Thailand Bound says. TB resents Dan and labels him as a copycat.
