ขอบคุณมากๆ คุณครู น่าสนใจที่สุด Une traduction pour les francophones : (นี่สำหรับคนฝรั่งเศสนะครับ) 1. แมวไม่อยู่หนูร่าเริง - quand le chat est parti, les souris dancent 2. ยิงปืนนัดเดียวได้นกสองตัว - faire d’une pierre deux coups 3. จับปลาสองมือ - avoir le beurre et l’argent du beurre 4. หนีเสือปะจระเข้ - tomber de Charybde en Scylla 5. อย่าตัดสินคนจากภายนอก - ne pas juger selon les apparences 6. ได้อย่างเสียอย่าง - on ne gagne pas à tous les coups 7. กันไว้ดีกว่าแก้ - mieux vaut prévenir que guérir 8. ตบมือข้างเดียวไม่ดัง - il faut être deux pour dancer le tango 9. หัวเราะทีหลังดังกว่า - rira bien qui rira le dernier 10. รำไม่ดีโทษปี่โทษกลอง - à méchant ouvrier, point de bons outils

'It takes two to tango' is surely the English proverb rather than 'It takes two to make a quarrel', which I've never heard before....

Would จับปลาสองมือ be “To catch a fish in both hands” or “To fish with both hands”?

จับ means "to catch" จับปลาสองมือ means to catch fish with both hands.

"Between the devil and the deep blue sea" really means having a choice that isnt any better or same outcome. Your thai phrase is better paired with "out of the frying pan, into the fire". Just my opinion and no offence meant.

I was about to jump on and say exactly the same thing, could also mean escaping a dangerous situation to encounter an equally bad situation.

Actually I believe it means between a rock and a hard place. There's a subtle difference in these 2 English expressions

Hello, Khru Pear: Thanks for your lesson. It was great. 👍 Idioms are so important in any langugae. I find the Thai vocabulary is too rich of pictures and meanings. *Query* : _Your cat were not at home, while your mice romped around the micro_ 🐱 ???

Tigers kill their prey before eating (cut throat or smthg) but crocs will eat you while you still alive. Think again
