หนีเสือปะจรเข้ in English is "Out of the frying pan into the fire" Thanks for the excellent lessons and great pronunciation.

That is a correct interpretation in my opinion as well...

Thank you for this video! Especially as I am not native English speaker I thank for the English meaning. Proverbs are so difficult to grasp in other languages.

'It takes two to tango' is surely the English proverb rather than 'It takes two to make a quarrel', which I've never heard before....

Would จับปลาสองมือ be “To catch a fish in both hands” or “To fish with both hands”?
@ThaiwithMod4 жыл бұрын
จับ means "to catch" จับปลาสองมือ means to catch fish with both hands.

"Between the devil and the deep blue sea" really means having a choice that isnt any better or same outcome. Your thai phrase is better paired with "out of the frying pan, into the fire". Just my opinion and no offence meant.

I was about to jump on and say exactly the same thing, could also mean escaping a dangerous situation to encounter an equally bad situation.

Actually I believe it means between a rock and a hard place. There's a subtle difference in these 2 English expressions

Hello, Khru Pear: Thanks for your lesson. It was great. 👍 Idioms are so important in any langugae. I find the Thai vocabulary is too rich of pictures and meanings. *Query* : _Your cat were not at home, while your mice romped around the micro_ 🐱 ???

Tigers kill their prey before eating (cut throat or smthg) but crocs will eat you while you still alive. Think again
