I've been down to the thames 4 or 5 times in the last two weeks and I've caught 3-5 fish each time in a couple hours. I'm using Berkley Powerbait Chigger Craw in green pumpkin and watermelon and bass pro tender tubes in green pumpkin and pumpkin seed. I'd also suggest a craw flavoured spray.

Always enjoy your videos! You inspired me to start fishing the Thames. :) I moved to Ingersoll last year so I'm fairly new to the area and I love that you have shown me lots of pointers on where to and what to use for fishing the Thames. I went to London just last weekend a little down from Fanshawe damn and tried for some walleye. Only got a small bass this time around. Great video :)

Man, every time I’ve ever used a whopper plopper or hula without a liter a pike has chomped my line. Once, a gar was the culprit.. I’m always using the black 6” litres out there because of the pike. Actually I’ve caught far more walleye and pike than bass, and the bass are all rock and smallie 🤷🏼♂️.

I’ve had luck all over the Thames, and caught over 7 species. It’s all about the sight fishing game, looking for good spots and trying your luck :). Half the fun on the Thames is exploration! You just have to get out there!

Whopper flopper? Also may I ask you to address the tools you will use and maybe technique's. Or possibly the knowlege of where fish like to hangout and why? Thanks for the video. Looks hella fun.

Whopper Plopper*. If you want to know where fish “hangout,” you need to understand that water level, time of day, shade, temperature, and much much more impact where you will find fish on any given day. The best advice I can give is to first research the species of fish available in the Thames. From there, pick what you want to target and research their habitat, what they eat, and the temp of water they are most active in. Scratch that, first make sure you have a fishing license and check the seasons for fish found in the Thames so that you’re not getting yourself into trouble. London is Zone 16. Then, back to more researching what you want to catch. And finally, once you have some proper bait or lures and are fishing legally GO EXPLORE! Sure, having someone poing you to a spot they caught a fish in is nice, but the real fun is finding your own spots and having an adventure in the middle of one of Ontario’s largest cities! Good luck!

Was that the Whopper Plopper 110? It looked huge! Wanted to try that size but was told it's just too big for around here (maybe better for bigger lakes?) But it seem to work...
