The oldest Hybrid on the market is the Prius Hybrid which came out in 1997 and the failure rate is 2%. The Audi uses a far more advanced battery system and would have a similar of lower rate. The battery even on these remote cases are still fixable today unlike back in 2013. All I can say it drive the A6H and then you'll know what all the fuss it about. All cars have issues, the only matter of concern is how much do you like the car to overcome them. Seriously.. go drive a A6 Hybrid today

I always like to challenge myself. If anything... I want a different engine type. On the Hybrid front... I would just go for full electric. Buying used Hybrid in 2021 is still a valid option but for those intending to keep for more than 5 years.. I would not recommend buying a new Hybrid. It's a game you play if you have the money to survive the depreciation.
