They’re more than toys. They’re a community. This proves it. Beautiful ending man.

I'm not crying that's dust in my eye. That last scene of you walking out just looking at your pit area and then flipping off the lights got me. It will for sure be sad to not see more content from IRCW. Sorry to see it go.

It's an unfortunate thing that the business closed the doors. Being there this past weekend with my wife, you could see the community has come together. I was able to travel there from Oklahoma, I was able to go to the RC swap meet that Mark hosted that morning it was an awesome weekend I stayed there and watched all the first heat thank you Mark for suggesting it. My wife and I can't wait to see more RC events that either Mark or the community puts together in the near future.

Darn this reminds me of when my local hobbytown closed down 😢. I think the last time I went there was with my brother and 2 cousins, drifting in their drift track they had. There were little to no rc's in the shelves. The employees there though we're friendly. Good people to get along with. Just wish it was still open 😢.

I feel for you, ive been dieing for a track and envy those who live close to them. I visited one for my first time last year in delaware, and it had me giddy like a child again! We need more community events and fun, things for all ages and price ranges. With the mini and micro scene blowing up i hope more places pop up than close with the lower price point to start the hobby

Indy was my first track too, and I’ve been frequenting it for about 2 years now. I built a Slash 4x4 a few months ago and the only time I got to race it was at the 10th Scale Showdown, where it was actually kinda competitive in the 4WD SCT class. Ever time I race Oval I get better, and if I had just a few more weeks or months I might have gotten my first AMain win. I met a bunch of amazing people there, and I hope to see you all around wherever you may go. We are very fortunate to have many tracks in and around the DFW metroplex, but this one really hurts. I think the best thing we can do is just to go rip up all the other tracks, give them some business.

MSM. I feel your pain. My track closed at Covid. Two beautiful outside tracks one off road the other a racing oval. Then people broke in and stole everything in the building. No one ever got caught, strange. Now I have no hobby store or track to run on. I sold everything I had then the last two years started to buy new stuff. I now just run on the street. But, thinking of going to the local park, 20 tennis courts and 20 pickle ball courts! I’ll just go early in the AM before anyone gets there. I’ll miss seeing you race at your location. In the end it was business as usual for the property owner. All about the money! America the greedy.

With a good life and a collection of happy memories come great people-those who share in the laughter, support you through the challenges, and celebrate the little victories. I’ve got a ton of memories from Indy and a whole group of friends I consider family from there. It will be missed dearly from us.

Mark, I am from Colorado and last year I visited Indy RC World during a trip to Traxxas headquarters store (part of bucket list). It was such a great experience visiting Indy RC World. I told my wife if we relocate to Texas, we need to find a house 30 - 45 minutes from Indy RC World. My wife and I have until April 1st to inform our employer if we are moving to Frisco, Texas with the company. Mark, what am I going to do now for fun if we decide to move? :)
@mattbrown703312 күн бұрын
I live in FRISCO and will now be racing in Fort Worth (RCCA) carpet off-road and on-road. Mark has done a few reviews/videos of it, the facility is nice. It is in the Ridgmar Mall.

I noticed a lot more rc race equipment for sale up in the Dallas area on Facebook. Just more people getting out of the hobby just because a track closes. You can't help but feel somewhat betrayed.

Good video. Always sad when a track closes up not because of the cars, trucks and/or racing, but the camaraderie, the memories and smiles we make every week. Our indoor asphalt track (touring cars) closed up 2 years ago and I spent so many laughing moments with other addicts racing with our toy cars.
