There is a real sense of sadness knowing that musicians you follow when you were in your teens are leaving us one by one. A mixture of feeling that those days are just distant memories and you are also about to fade away.

One of the most underrated songwriters of the 80s era. His stuff is timeless and still holds up today in 2019. Rip John, a true legend.

Had the pleasure of catching the Outfield in concert touring on the Play Deep album. They were opening for Starship but went to see the Outfield. The exceeded expectations.

Absolutely amazing tribute. So impressive and I love the delay / reverb effects. John would really appreciate this. I’ve always loved The Outfield. They’ve been a huge influence on my playing. Do you by chance know Jon’s rig rundown and how to get his sound?
@stillinlimbomusic4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your excellent comment/support. Not sure of John's rig although it most likely evolved over time. Might be able to figure it out through photographs from over the years. all the best to you!

@jenniferguigou22046 жыл бұрын
what is the song of the video?
@stillinlimbomusic6 жыл бұрын
It is a song I wrote after John passed away. I wrote it about losing loved ones, I thought of John during the writing process. I have been a fan of The Outfield since '86 when Play Deep hit the airwaves. I have been a devoted fan ever since. The song is called "Of the same heart" by me Still in Limbo.
