Despite having been to both games this series, will be at the game today, and will be at all three games of the Texas Rangers series, I am still not prepared for what is to come on Tuesday-Thursday and likely the final series at Seattle. Despite me having absolutely no connections to Oakland and no fandom for the Athletics, I still felt it was my civic duty and responsibility to venture across the country on two days notice to Oakland for the final 10 days of the regular season to be there in person to be there for Athletics supporters going through this terrible time. Absolutely no club deserves this. No supporters deserve this. Of all the places I could be throughout the next 8 days, there's no place I would rather be right now than with the people of Oakland.

@@mikecanul This is something I believe that I have to do as I believe it's the right thing to do. I refuse to sit around and watch Athletics fans suffer without me being there to give them a shoulder to cry on. I have been to more Athletics games the last three years since this saga has really garnered mainstream attention, than I have been to any other Athletics games since I started watching baseball. I have as many Sell shirts to wear for every day I'm going to be here and in Seattle. Among the games I've been to were the Reverse Boycott, the San Francisco leg of the Battle of the Bay Bridge last season and both legs this season, I have seen the Athletics at Minute Maid Park, Globe Life Field, Angel Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Citi Field, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Oracle Park, and Yankee Stadium this season. My Athletics gear has been worn and spotted in enemy territory at Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, The Sphere and at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. I didn't however attend the first game of this season as I was outside with the people of Oakland. I wanted to see them as many times as I possibly could this season because I most definitely will not be watching them in Sacramento nor Las Vegas nor anywhere else they play if they're not in Oakland. I feel it's important for non-Athletics fans to be there for the supporters during this time. They need to know that while the 30 MLB owners were against them, baseball fans everywhere like myself, regardless who you support, stand with them all the way. As I mentioned before, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I want as many people as possible to know I stand with Oakland.

I was there Saturday and was so emotional. I'm a Yankees fan, living in the Bay 20 years now and in Oakland for the majority of the time. As a kid I wasn't able to go to games, we couldn't afford it. So my first baseball game ever was an A's game because I was already an adult making my own money out here in the bay. I took my son to A's games with me to create those memories I couldn't have as a kid. And I got to see my team when they were in town. I never thought I'd see the day where the A's would be gone. I can't imagine Oakland without the A's the same way I can't imagine The Bronx without the Yankees. It's criminal the way the city is being robbed of so much. I'm beyond grateful that I could heal that part of my inner child through all these games I attended. But so pissed and sad at the same time. Thanks for everything Oakland Athletics. You'll be missed.

It's that sickening feeling, or more like getting punched in the stomach. This is my third time with this sort of heartbreak. Twice with my Raiders, now with my A's. BUT, the teams we grew up with and love aren't exempt from the impermanence of Life, and eventually you make peace with it. In this situation, the only thing that lives on is your memories. Some of the best times in my life happened at the coliseum. Those memories, no one can take away. RIP Oakland A's, you shall be missed.

@Christopher-p6s7h28 күн бұрын
Truly he is and he and that new president Kaval never ever were serious about keeping them in Oakland I knew it as soon as Kaval was hired he was hired to avoid full scale riots by faking attempts of keeping the team in town and talking and debating over it for so long that everyone was so sick of hearing about it that they are ready for the whole situation to be finished in one way or the other. They sucked up to the Oakland As HOF the last few years meanwhile they spit in the fans face. I'm calling for an all out boycott of the A's organization they made it perfectly clear what they think of us. They will greatly depend on fans travelling to Sacramento and Vegas. Vegas is a much much smaller market it can only survive w tourist so I call for all fans NOT to travel to Vegas for the A's. Unfortunately it's time to find a new team and visit them when they play the Giants and if you are going to travel to see a game go see another team NOT the As. Or even better let's support the local amateur teams! It's been great y'all I love you all we were truly the greatest fan base we stuck around for the worst of the worst year after year of our talent being traded away for nothing. We will always have the memories. I was raised in that stadium and my loyalty dies there period

The legendary early 70s three peat and 89 sweep, Ricky breaking the SB record, Dallas Braden perfect game on Mother’s Day , Sean manaea no hitter, 20 game streak, the swingin A’s/Bash Brothers, and won the bay bridge series with more titles than the giants.. These memorable and legendary moments will live forever and the photos of those moments should be in the Oakland museum to tell the younger generations(who will most likely be giants fans) about another historic franchise that was in the Bay Area.

Not an A's fan but glad I was able to make it to a game a couple years ago before they left. Even then you could tell the years of neglect from management. In the end the ones who suffered most were the fans. Its also disheartening they won't even open Mt. Davis for the final game. The demand is there and the stadium could even make money but I guess the owner has no shame whatsoever.

As of 9/21/2024 Anyone notice how the Oakland A’s didn’t post this on their own socials? Why does a fan have to share this for other fans who couldn’t make it to the game that night. This video is a lie. Can’t even pretend they care correctly
