@@ticomtg Most people don't know about it as it's Japan only. They've been doing that kind of thin lately to try to get more money from other places than North America. I know there was one super rare card out there that was 20 grand... and only because there was only one up for sale. (out of like five) If I had it I'd definitely be talking to an auction house. ESpecially with fans of the artist in question probably wanting it as well.

@Ben Nelson Mostly it means if Elesh becomes leading meta, that Azorius Elesh could be the preferred way to play her. And Witness Protection is just a 1 mana enchantment, probably one of the cheapest and funniest way of nullifying her, but it's not instant speed.

If you count each language, then how many total versions are there?

Currently, Magic is printed in English, Chinese Simplified, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (mostly for the Brazilian market), and Spanish; a total of 8 languages. Because there are 17 variants with text on at least one side of the card, there are 136 versions of Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines. 😵‍💫

Moot point, the card is the same regardless of what language it's in. for example, "but this one is in Spanish" doesn't fly for having five of them in a standard deck."
