@بُب بُب in an ideal world the biological parents would still be their parents..it takes a lot to take a child away by the state. So in cases of adoption, unless the parent died, it's unfortunately not good parents even though they are the biological so it's better the child is adopted by a good home than in the system for years with no family nor a stable home
@TheTibetyak
@TheTibetyak 2 жыл бұрын
"But nothing can replace a biological mother". I respectfully disagree. Too many family law courts take this same approach and return biological children to their grossly unfit parents. There is nothing magical about reproduction. The far, far majority of humans are biologically capable of having children. Having a child does not guarantee bonding or imbue special powers of newly assumed responsible decision making. There are plenty of biological parents who not only can but should be replaced and that replacement can be far superior to their parental lineage or rights.

It's hard to survive like that. I don't have a permanent place to stay but I sleep somewhere different every day. Sometimes under a bridge, sometimes in someone's basement. I am thankful that I have a common sense and that I am healthy. I know that one day I will be fine. After rain comes sunshine. I just want to say that I hope that none of you are falling for this. I lived with this family after they moved to San Diego as their foster daughter. The mom is a covert narcissist that mentally and emotionally abused not just me but her husband, Stuart. We went to family therapy, that she made me pay for btw and the therapist actually told me that she is a narcissist. To be more specific she is a covert narcissist. I literally almost lost my life at least twice behind the abuse that I suffered living in their home and being apart of their family. She doesn’t love the boys and in fact she barely spent any time with them because she would be too busy out with her friends or doing community projects because that is how she boosts her ego. There is a term for it, it’s called a communal narcissist. In the over two years I’ve known them I can say with complete honesty that she never ONCE sat down to play with them or do really anything for them. The dad does everything and I literally mean everything. He works, cleans, cooks, takes care of them, puts them to bed, spends time with them bonding while she is out doing who knows what. She literally just bounces in the house at night usually around or after bedtime. She doesn’t even work but she is getting her masters in social work which is scary. Please don’t believe what you see.

Wow. Such an awesome video. My wife and I adopted a 4 year old girl from Bulgaria 8 years ago. Everyone tells us what a great thing we did. But what people don't realize is that adoption is as much of a gift to the parents as it is to the child. Every child deserves a home and a loving family. Maybe adoption is right for you.

Can I ask you a thing? How was it , how did she get in your family given that she was 4. Asking as we are planning to adopt and given our age we may only get a child above 2year old as per my country's law.

For those who don't know: foster parents are paid a stipend, but if they adopt the child, those payments stop. In addition, like most legal procedures, adoption itself costs money. Foster parents who adopt their foster children are showing a very serious commitment to them. EDIT: apparently the reason not everyone agrees on this is that foster subsidies and any post adoption financial benefits vary widely from state to state! EDIT: I was puzzled by the varying responses, until I looked it up and realized that the financial support (or lack thereof) during and after adopting a foster child varies widely from state to state!

I was adopted at a young age, not because my parents didn't love me, but because my father died and my mother couldn't take care of me. Even though I still love my biological mom, I also love my adopted mother and father. I was never their real son but they loved me and raised me as if I was. That is true love.
