When I was 11, I was hit by a moving car, and badly injured. Thanks to the doctors at the hospital, I made a full recovery. Thankfully, no one was tactless enough to thank God for my survival, at least not to my knowledge. If they had, I'd have asked why he allowed me to be knocked over in the first place.

@@NikolaTesla_369 No, I died last week. Of course I'm still alive, but that's got bugger all to do with some mythical deity or whatever. Frankly, if there is a God I've got no time for them; I don't want to be around anything that nearly killed me.

@@andrewbowman4611 Oh! you are alive. 🙌🏻 So what's your opinion on life after death? What do you think will happen after death as you seem not interested in GOD. What doe it mean to be alive or to die? Why people fear death? Fact is that apart from God everything is pointless even our lives and existence. If you are a person who doesn't believe in God then even if you die so what? Why do you want to live now? Even though you know that you will definitely die some day? What would your existence add more to the society? Who cares if you would live or die? Will I cry if you die? No I don't even know who you are. Will some random man in the Amazon jungle cry thinking about you? No. Will a nation cry over your death? No. Only your Friends and Family right? If someone Loves you some much that they feel burdened to live life without you then they can obviously kill themself and step into the unknown as you did can't they? Why feel the pain? Rather end the pain once it for all. After all you say there is no God the there is no meaning to anything neither your existence nor theirs because they have to die some day or they other right? What have you achieved on earth after you have been saved from death at age 11? Does your achievements make any difference at all? You will be history and nobody will give a damn about you probably a 100 years from now. Why did the doctor save you? Did he do it for free? Would he have saved you or anyone if we didn't give him his fee? If humans are so Good People they might have ended poverty off the face of the earth and we would not have had to pay anything for anything. They system actually need The Rich. The Middle clas. The poor. This can never be eradicated. Why? It's for you to think and conclude. We might as well do what ever we feel like doing in this world right? There is no right and wrong. If I hurt someone why should I go to jail? If I save someone why should I be rewarded? How can you Justify an act as evil? What is the driving force of evil? What motivates man to do evil? And motivates the other man to condemned this evil and even punish it? If you believe there is Evil obviously there must be Good. Same questions as above apply here as well but opposite. Who set this standard? Look around you and you will get the answer to all your questions you don't even need a book to prove God's existing. Scientists believe we call came out of nothing ...that big bang theory... How can nothing create something? Can you feed your family by doing nothing? Can you create money being still? Can doctors save you by looking at you? No. We need to be creative and work something, do something etc for something to happen right? The creation of the earth is so complex and is way more tougher than to earn money. The rotation of earth around the sun and movement of planets and all other stuff. The different seasons. The seas and the ocean that doesn't pass beyond its boundaries etc. And why should we Love and Why should we hate? Life, Death and everything done on earth is nonsense and without meaning without God in the picture If we are not accountable to anything than everything is permissible. Science proves the existence of God yet the scientists deny it. You Andrew bowman have a task to seek the truth and find out it's meaning don't go for any book to know about God rather Watch and observe you'll know.

We are free to do what ever we want if there is no perfect Law giver for above infact no man can be accountable for anything and should not feel remorse for any action. I am free to do anything that I want I should not be accountable even to the Laws of men nor can man make any law based on any feeling of pain, hurt or any sort of experience. Even if he makes a law it will not sustain and will be overthrown by another powerful man who desires to gain power and rule and wants his own ideas or law to be enforced. There will always be clash and only the Powerful man will be capable of controlling everyone and this man could be Evil and yet think his laws are perfect. Mere feeling of another man makes no difference. There nothing Good nor Evil in this case of absence of God. Just a ruler with power and his subjects are his slaves. This is the actual pattern if you study history you'll know. Only the powerful will rule and the ruler need not be essential Good and acceptable to all the people. His actions just needs to be right in his own sight that's all. See around you and you'll know the world is run by wicked men who want to enforce their own laws upon people. The quote By the people, of the people, for the people is History and it could not sustain its true meaning. Because it is overthrown by control of evil people ruling America probably the FreeMasons. If all men were perfect there need not be any national border and there could have been one peaceful ruler. Love would have overruled all else. It's not the case because men are imperfect. There can only be one Judge and a Perfect law giver and the is God himself. Apart from him everything just turns dark. Because men rejected God since the beginning God gave us own to be deluded by our own ideas and allowed wicked me to rule over us as we rejected him as our King. Worst is yet to come upon us. I was beaten, strangled and mugged at gunpoint. The second I hit the ground my whole life flashed before my eyes. I saw everything I did (summarized), everything I didn't do, but should have and I saw the faces of everyone who ever loved me. After what felt like an hour, which was only a few seconds I felt an unexplainable peace even though I had a gun to my head while a crazed crack addict screamed he was going to kill me. I turned over and looked this man in the eyes, knowing he could very well just pull the trigger and I'd be gone, but I wanted to look this man in the eyes in effort to make him feel some remorse so he wouldn't kill me. What I saw was a man more afraid and more lost than anyone I've ever encountered. I would have been him if I had continued on my path. I thank God for this. Not because I was almost strangled and murdered, but because this vision was the wake up call I needed in my life. I was 21 just starting to drink a lot getting into harder drugs and I saw my life stretched out before me and the death and destruction that followed it. Now I actually wish I could help this man, but I'm sure he's either dead or in prison. I don't thank the mugger for his actions, but I thank God for talking to me in a way that got my attention.

This reminds me of the story of Sophie Delezio. On 15 December 2003, at the age of two, was trapped under a burning car which had crashed through a gate into the Roundhouse Childcare Centre in Fairlight, Sydney, Australia. She suffered burns to 85% of her body and lost both feet, one hand, and her right ear. Delezio was released from Westmead Children's Hospital on Monday 21 June 2004. On 5 May 2006, Delezio made national headlines a second time when she was again badly injured in a road accident. While being pushed across a crossing by her nanny in a wheelchair (her service dog Tara by her side) near her home in Sydney's northern beaches, she was hit by a car and thrown 18 metres. Delezio suffered a heart attack, a broken jaw, a broken shoulder, bruising to her head, numerous rib fractures and a tear to her left lung. Her father then proclaimed that it was the work of God, protecting her both times. This statement made me feel sick, and caused me to stop believing in any more of this absolute nonsense.

The absurdity of the religious viewpoint was brought home to me a few years back when a tornado wrecked a school (I don't remember the state or town, but it's not really relevant) The news crew were interviewing a young African-American man whose daughter was missing. He kept saying things like "I know that God is going to save my little girl, because I have faith and I've prayed to Him." My first thought was - Didn't your God just drop a f***ing school on your little girl? My second thought was - If your little girl is saved, it will be by the efforts of the courageous emergency services people searching in dangerous, partially-collapsed buildings for survivors, not prayers to a fictitious sky-fairy.

THIS, if there was some all knowing "God", "he" should be responsible for every tragedy "he" could've prevented as well. It should be incredibly shameful if there's a god watching every move every person makes and is allowing injustice, trauma, and suffering to still occur. If he supposedly loves all his children like a loving father the bible portrays, then what can be said for a father who ignores and actively enables trauma, abuse, tragedy and suffering to happen?? As a parent, if you see your child suffering and you do nothing, how can you say you love your child? Same thing with this non existent god... If he really loves his children, he would protect them. I was raised Roman Catholic and never resonated with the church and never understood it. I followed as i was told but it never sat right with me. I tried for many years being a Christian and it always felt so fake and the justifications for the horrid stories in the bible and why God allowed for bad things to happen is just simply atrocious and unacceptable. Religion encourages abuse and human trauma

When I was a kid, a younger school boy was pushed by his friend and he accidentally fell into the canal. The boys mothers were there walking them home from school. He couldn't swim and everyone panicked. I jumped in and managed to pull him out. I remember one of the ladies, I assume the boys mother saying "oh, thank God." I didn't think about it at the time but I do remember later thinking "hang on, I jumped in and could have died, God didn't do anything. Where's my thanks?" I'm sure the boys family was grateful and the phrase thank God was a reactionary expression like "oh my God" is to shock. Regardless, later still I remember thinking "wasn't God also essentially responsible for putting him in that position to begin with?" I never had any religion affiliation or belief growing up, but I still remember tying myself up in logical knots trying to figure out God's position in all of it. It was only a few years later during puberty that I had settled on the idea that without evidence for a God, he was conceptual at best and a delusion at worst.

Now, luckily for you I, and no one else can prove God scientifically because that would mean putting the Almighty God in a test-tube and saying, “Here’s God”. Also, luckily for you I cannot force you to believe and neither can God because that would mean God interfering with human will power, which God strictly did not want and still does not want to this day. But God is a spirit. If God was not a spirit, then He would be just like you and me and have no supernatural ability to create and destroy unlike you and me. I ask you; can science take the moon from its place and move it? Can science rise up the seas and bring down the sun? No, but that is what makes science man made, and God well, God. You might say “Isn’t the Bible man made?” Yes, The Bible is made of man’s writing, but not man’s way of thinking, or man’s thoughts of the world, or how it came into existence. Those of the Bible quickly state in the first few words of the book, “In the beginning God created…” Now this simple verse does not attempt to explain it or prove God because everyone believes in God. You might say “You can’t prove God” Yes, and we can’t try scientifically because it is impossible, but even those who wrote His word don’t try to prove it. You see without God, there is no divine law, there is no right or wrong, there is no foundation which is factual by our conscience, because our conscience tells us of what is right or what is wrong. Without God, we are like creatures wondering the planet, who know nothing about it, and never will. If we could see God, that would mean God would have to be in one place at one time because when God was born as Jesus, He could only be in one place because He was human. He got thirsty, He got hungry, and He got tired. Now, God does not get hungry, thirsty, or any other human need, because He is God. But, because God is unseen, He can be in Africa, Asia, Europe, Antarctica, North American and South America all at the same time, which man cannot do. Now, God is not present on this earth, but through His son Christ Jesus we can reunite with God, because through His sacrifice, everyone who accepts Christ as their Savior will be freed of their sins. That might not make sense to you because well, 1 Corinthians says it just right, “For the message of the cross is foolish to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18. To you this message is foolish, just as it was to me who was foolish. You might say “Why didn’t God just forgive us?” “If He was all powerful why couldn’t He wipe away our mistakes without dying on the cross?” Well, God can’t just forgive us without us wanting to be forgiven, because again it would interfere with human will power. Even with Christ on the cross not everyone is forgiven, just those who want to be. Just as Jesus said “I do not come to bring peace; but a sword” Matthew 10:34. Now, why did Jesus have to die? Because, it took God to bring us into existence, and it surely took God to save us from the dangers of it. Plus, God proved His love for us on the cross once and for all. Concerning Science, science has made attempt after attempt to disprove God. Which if God wasn’t real, then what are we exactly trying to disprove? Like I’ve said, science and nothing involving science can take the moon out of its place or create or destroy. For example, when a baby is conceived, science cannot take out the arm of the baby, or place an extra eye, because it is not powerful beyond our world, which is exactly why it is proven to be man-made and only powerful to those who let it. Science attempts to explain the unseen, which is not scientifically possible. You might say “God is man-made” which is fun to say because it makes sense scientifically, but not rationally. You might say “Why is there evil if God is good” There is evil because there is good. Just like there is God and there is Satan, and because God is just and righteous, He has to do both in order to prove His righteousness. God lets good and bad things happen for wise ways the human mind was not made to comprehend. But, like I’ve said God has given man a choice, proving that God is a just God, because if God never gave man a choice, then man would be robotic, and God would be a liar when He says that He is perfect and almighty. You might say “Faith is unnational or pointless” No. For example, if you are in a war, and you have put your faith in your weapons, and for this moment you do not have your weapons? What will you do? You will panic. You have still put your faith in something, it is just that when people say “I have faith in Jesus” people freak out and fight back because people who do not honor God are of Satan, by choice. Now, when you put your faith in God you put your faith in the things that are to come, which you do not know, that would mean trusting Him and honoring Him with your life. You might say “Then why do people die with faith in God” having faith in God does not mean He will save your life, although He might. Having faith in God simply means accepting Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior and trusting Him with your life. Now, trusting Him with your life means that sacrificing all of your sins, all of your addictions, and all of your pleasures, to read the Gospel, pray, fast, and go to church, because you have put your faith in Christ that it would be worth it in the end. Concerning evolution, evolution is a man-made idea of what could of happened, which is false because anything man made is broken, just as the man who made it is. Evolution is an idea of humans developing over time from animals. False. In order for this to be true, we would need at least an example. I can tell out of my conscience, we did not evolve from animals because in order for that to have happened, humans would need at least some traits of animals. For example, animals eat their own feces, they have no brains (How could our intelligent brain evolve from no rational brain?) All they know is how to eat, drink, and take care of their habitats and babies, which is God given knowledge, because without God to tell them what to do, they would be lost. Plus, if evolution was correct then why don’t things continue to evolve? The big bang theory? Something doesn’t come from nothing, plus read the name, “theory”. What does theory mean? Thought or idea of what could have happened. You might say “The Bible was man-made” Again, yes it was written by man, but not man’s idea of what happened, but God, through the Holy Spirit informing them of what happened. Now, why do we need God? Our hearts were made to need Him, and no that does not mean God destroyed us to make us need Him. God let evil take place with a master plan to redeem the world from their evilness. Now, the world itself is perfect. The earth, the sun, the moon, the way it rotates and gives life. Now, if you think about it, the way life is created is perfection from only God and God only. We as humans have all that we need. We have trees for oxygen, water, food, and everything happened to fall into place? No, it was God given. Now, just because the earth and creation are perfect, does not mean that humans or human life is because when man rejected God in the garden, it began a reign of evil to overcome the world. That is why people are addicted to drugs and alcohol, people are broken inside, and hurting because it is proof that without God, we cannot be whole and happy. Because of man’s choice, we have been destroyed by ourselves and the only way to pure happiness is Christ Himself. You see, Science doesn’t have all the answers, science cannot free us of our sins or mistakes, science cannot make us happy or joyful, but Christ can. We need something more than science. Something that will affect our everyday lives. We need a peace in our hearts, and something to trust in, something to live off of. That is God, through Jesus Christ. Do you wish for a new peace, or a new heart? Do you want all of your mistakes forgiven? All of your depression cured, and all of your evilness taking away? Do you want a new strength or a new happiness? We all come into the world broken, but when you accept Christ, He gives you a new heart, a new desire, a new mindset, a new life, a new strength and a new power to say no to temptations. So that when you go back to the world, you go back with Jesus. He forgives all of your sins and accepts you into Heaven. Atheism? Atheism is a result of an anger towards God. You might say “Well I’ve met some atheists...” Yes, you’ve met some atheists who haven’t had any trouble yet, because get them in a war and they’ll be saying “My God help me!” You’ve met some atheists who don’t understand the universe, so they put their faith in science, whom has deceived the world into thinking that it is the truth. Even those who wrote the Bible didn’t understand the world, that is why the Holy Spirit had to guide them into explaining some of it. Now, The Bible doesn’t tell of physics, or science, or scientific proof, or evolution, or the big bang theory, or scientifically things because in the end it does not matter. In the end, all that matters are whether or not you have repented of your sin to God, and you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Amen. Know this, that when all of the world falls and crumbles before us, Jesus Christ will still be the son of God who saved His people from their sins. Amen!

Why are atheists so angry about God taking people's lives when they know that every single person dies? If you think they're just going to rot in the ground, ok... Who cares? God is not a jerk for taking peoples' lives, we are all given instructions for living well & AS we go against them there is punishment at the end. We are indignant about injustice in this world, but if it truly doesn't matter in the end according to atheist standards, why get defensive & angry about it? Nearly 8 months ago I cremated both parents 3 months apart after giving hospice care for 8 months. They made their own choices. Even at the point of crossing over many people meet Jesus or call out to him & are saved at the very end. My parents lived as agnostics their whole lives & unless there was an intervention as the crossed over, they went to hell - by their own choices. Most people who've done hospice care tell stories about the terminally ill seeing & interacting with people & things that aren't there. They often aren't completely lost & will just as quickly snap back to reality to respond to a caretaker or family member to tell them what's going on. Some see godly things while others see hellish things. My dad was the latter example but immediately responded to the mention of Jesus' name to bring him back around. (Mom went suddenly with a stroke or heart attack in the middle of the night.) I don't blame God for any of this even though it was very difficult, but praise him for all the good things instead. Remember that Jesus & all but one of his followers died horrible deaths for the sake of the truth as have many people since then. Bill Wiese has an excellent testimony about hell itself & what experiences await everyone who goes there. Many others have visions & NDEs that reflect the same thing. The same goes for visits to heaven & meeting Jesus. They aren't crazy, they are quite rational & well-spoken. They aren't lost in conspiracy theorist wonderland but are firmly grounded in reality.

Atheists don't actually think a deity takes people's lives, you know. That is just stupid. Also, if the Christian deity is real (which is nigh impossible at best), then literally everything is its fault. Well, as much as anything can be... since said deity would not even be responsible for its own actions, since it is incapable of free will based upon the standard Christian definition. Omniscience is a bitch like that. Also, there is no evidence that "Jesus" (whoever that was) existed let alone were killed for the sake of anything, not to mention his "followers". By the way, plenty of people have NDE's that represent other religions... or no religion whatsoever. NDE's and "visions" cannot be used for evidence of anything except that they are basically just the same as dreams except more vivid... especially since they quite often happen when the individual in question _isn't dying._ You say a lot... but know very little.

@Vidya I'm a Hindu. In many Hindu texts there are references on hell, and if you do bad then you will go to hell....like stuffs.....and there are more fantasies like stories in Hindu religious books than bible or other religious scripts.....And as a God Krishna simply could have ended the war between Pandavas and Kauravas .......instead he encouraged arjun to kill his friends, teachers, and people...... Hemant states facts and illogical implications in bible very clearly...so I would like to know his view points on Hindu religion.....

When I was 14 years old my mom kept urging me to watch this new movie called "The Secret." I reluctantly agreed to see what it was all about, despite having my own beliefs about the "new age" way of thinking that was emerging. Within 10 or 15 minutes in, something about it began to resonate with me and from that point forward a seed was planted that led to me having this realization. I began to see how my thoughts, beliefs and emotions were preparing and creating the experiences I was having in life. I began to notice it in others, not in a judgmental way, but in a way where I observed how people thought, the action they would take and the results they got whether it be in relationships, financial, happiness, etc. Because our beliefs shape our perception, we can create the experience of not seeing the correlation. I truly believe atheists, Christians, Muslims, new agey types, Buddhists, all create their lives based on their own beliefs. The universe caters to us completely. I won't ever argue with anyone who disagrees that we don't create our own reality because that individual is creating the experience that you can't create your own reality based on your beliefs. It's like your mind will block out any synchronicity for seeing the correlation. This is very true with atheists. There belief system that we don't create our own reality blocks out the correlation of the concept. This is why I am not an atheist because my experiences with synchronicity has almost forced be to be more open to the possibility of higher planes of existence. I am not talking Heaven or Hell. I am talking quantum physics and coming from a spiritual not religious perspective. The reason atheism isn't for me is because it is limited to what can be seen physically or I need proof, I need evidence, I need solid data. My experiences such as numerology and multiple coincidences on a daily basis have kept me away from atheism and always will. This way of thinking hasn't affected my life for the worse at all besides when I believe bad things will come and they do but it is really for the positive. It is all about trial and error, what works and what doesn't for me. My experiences may be anecdotes but the fact that I am not the only one experiencing this and using this new way of thinking to my advantage, it should give people a new perspective. As I said I am coming from a spiritual perspective and growing the self.

This whole video is so pointless. How do you care so much about someone saying “Thank God”? This whole channel wasn’t built upon discussion among atheists like you state it is, rather it appears to be made to belittle other religions and beliefs of other people just to get verification of your own. I’m completely fine with people not having the same beliefs as me, I’m a Christian but guess what? I’m friends with several atheists, why? Quite simple, they’re good people and they don’t try and belittle anybody’s beliefs. Anyone can believe in whatever religion they want just so long as they never try and put down someone else for believing differently. This is where I take issue with you and your videos. Do you make bad points? I mean, you surprisingly seem pretty competent considering your video topics are the complete opposite. But honestly, that doesn’t matter to me, because you’re a completely condescending, belittling, pompous person who does whatever he can to put down other religions. It’s disgusting, it makes your videos intolerable. This video is the prime example of that, if someone using a commonly used phrase (by both believers and nonbelievers mind you) bothers you enough to make a video about it just so you can one up believers once more, then that’s just pitiful. You’re like that one person who looks for every opportunity to make fun of something or someone just to put themselves on a higher pedestal. Whether or not that was your intention ( which it appears to very likely be the case) is beyond my concern now since most of your other videos seem to have a similar issue of belittling everything involving religion. Once again, I’m fine with people believing in whatever religion they want to believe in, but I draw the line at getting this petty or trying to “educate” religious people on why their beliefs are wrong. Oh and if you consider these comments “discussion” then you’re dead wrong, they’re just another contribution to everything I mentioned earlier

Like I said in the comment, I’m fine with atheists, it’s okay for him to be an atheist, same goes for you. But I hate it when people start talking shit about others for their religious beliefs. I shouldn’t say that he’s horrible because he’s an atheist ( not like I ever did anyway) but he shouldn’t make videos solely dedicated to saying “wow! Look at these dumbass Christians! Thanking God makes you a cruel person!”. He puts people down for their religious beliefs, how did I put him down? I decided to criticize his content for practically being hate speech. He’s an atheist? You’re an atheist? Cool, whatever, don’t care, I’m not going to say that you’re a bad person just because of your beliefs, and Hermant should do the same, but guess what? He doesn’t. The point of the comment was to say “hey leave Christians alone, stop throwing mud at them because they believe in God and do something productive among your community”. Do some Christians throw mud at atheists for their beliefs? Yes, and I’m upset about that. But it doesn’t warrant his behavior. I was putting down his content , not his beliefs, if I was belittling his beliefs then that would make me a hypocrite, but like I’ve stated before, I haven’t yet he does this on a regular basis

That’s just what bothers me since everyone in the group I’m involved has a bunch of great people, it’s just that these videos felt slanderous at times. A lot of things you said in your response are pretty weak as I stated earlier, but I don’t want this to turn into us bickering for the course of a week. And I truly am honest when I say atheists aren’t bad people, I’ll never write them off as all bad, considering your response you probably aren’t going to take my word for it, but I truly am sincere when I say that. Hermant isn’t a bad person in my eyes because of his beliefs, I just dislike him because of cases like this where he comes off as petty. Form what I heard, is that this world is actually just a test how much we love God. The people who died in the tragedy probably were very religious so God cut their lives short to live in Heaven. Or if they were not religious, they probably created to much karma and were reborn again, or it could Satanic play.

oh your family died in the hurricane and you've lost everything? too bad, but guess what, there is a being with infinite power who chose to save my dog, sucks for you! you don't think that is insanely insulting for the families who lost EVERYTHING in disasters like these? implying that there is a magical character who could have helped, but chose not too, he chose to save some random dog and let your family die. you're damn right it pisses me off. a quote i've heard before about these people who "thank god" after a disaster like these compares it to thanking a serial killer for murdering the family next door instead of yours.

Raptor Jesus Insanely insulting? No. Just so I’m clear, you’re outraged because she said something insensitive & it might hurt the feelings of people whose loved ones weren’t saved. yes, the last thing i'd want to hear if i've just lost absolutely everything and everyone in a disaster is some woman praising a magical creature for choosing to save her mutt. (and not your family) if you believe in this creature that had the power to save your family but chose to save a dog instead, how would you feel? "you let my entire family die but chose to save a dog?!" being happy that you found your dog is ofcourse natural, but implying that some omnipotent being chose to favour your pooch over the thousands of people who lost everything is pretty darn insensitive. and it is impossible to claim that this "god" saved your pooch without implying that. because if it is all powerful and can intervene to save your dog, then it let all of the other bad s%%t happen.

This statement does need to be analyzed and then some and especially some pastors who say that the Bible says to be thankful for everything. The Bible doesn't really say that. If that were true then we would be required to be thankful for cancer, child torture and genocide. What the Bible really says with the right translation is to be thankful generally in life but not for tragedies.

Given god created disasters/evil/bad times/calamity (depending on the version see Isaiah 45:7), you actually do have to be thankful for that as god created it.
