It just broke me at the part where they turned back into their appearances at the start of the show. Before Eda lost her powers, king still thought he was once a ruler, and Luz didn't have so much trauma

Granted, she was actually depressed since the beginning, but she was effective at masking it, and even coping well with it for a bit as she went on harmless adventures with Eda and King in S1, but it only went downhill from there.

@@baron6588 Yes that is why I stated she didn't have "so much" trauma. She already was quite depressed, wanting to leave her world so much but after so many episodes and almost getting killed so many times that burden only increased.

@@swindlingheartz Actually, her near death experiences were traumatically nothing compared to witnessing the near death experiences of her friends and family throughout the show. She is the type of person who’s self esteem and mental state is based entirely on the well being of the others around her, which is just fucking tragic.

At first I thought it was some sort of petrification process on just Luz, but seeing Eda and King in the mix brought about a whole new meaning. Especially when the three of them went from their season three designs to their season one designs. While not a lot of time for them has technically passed… a lot has for us all since The Owl House was first announced. The characters have gone through so much that it genuinely feels as though years had went by for them. Seeing the three of them when we all first met them, felt like it was only yesterday. They’ve all grown in different ways and I’m really happy for how they have all turned out. I will miss seeing new episodes, or anything from the series in general. I hope we eventually get something new, but for now… it’s not best to dwell and focus on what we do have. I love The Owl House so much… :)

I can’t believe I haven’t commented sooner, especially since I saw this only 40 minutes after you put it out. But, for me, I think what made me cry and still makes me cry is that this is it. This is their last look at each other, only so much time left to see the world. The show’s ended, and so have they. Last time to have emotion, so why waste it on sadness? From what I see, while Eda and Luz look bittersweet, King looks heartbroken. And that’s the last thing he has to feel before fading out of something that can’t even be called existence. Amazing work. And I’m sure that’s what others have said, because you deserve it :)
