Hello, its Sunday and the sales rep just texted me with the delivery date - 8/14 to 19. It is only a few days after the same sales rep's initial prediction. Darn I got excited about the delay, and in hindsight it definitely seems misplaced. And I am still under budget even after buying a Uniden R8, and having the dealer install it. Thank you for allowing me to share my excitement.

Great video. I got my Vin today, been waiting since March 27th. Red is in Transit and soon will arrive in Brentwood. The car "disappeared" for two weeks after initial build date and it drove me crazy, my blood pressure was soaring; I was actually ill with anticipation.

Very odd story. But true, I saw the car in the dealer's shop today. They told me 3 days ago that the car was in a rail yard less than 30 miles from the dealership. And it would not be delivered until 8/20!. I was enraged and so I let the world know how I felt on Twitter (X). I received two responses from Acura quickly- they were contradictory. One said " give us your contact info, and we will fix this " The other response said that the Sales manager knew what was going on and they were surprised that he had not informed me, but they told me nothing more. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told the sales manager had been told that actually the delivery would be even later. (very strange) He also made some noise and to everyone's surprise it appeared at the dealer the next day ( yesterday). This drama has certainly degraded the experience, but soon I will be washing and shinning my new Red car:), and I will be calm. And then later I will be flying down the freeway, and I will be excited. Thanks again for allowing me to share. PS You should do a rain driving video. @@PlasmadaeDal

@jamwest3146 Wow. I know that lots are going through this as well, and the supply is short right now. I'd say that's the one letdown of this car is that it has been hyped to the max, but the production hasn't been able to keep up. I have a theory on that, but also Acura didn't want to make a lot of them, so...here we are. BUT! I'm thinking that frustration will be lost in the joy of driving this machine. For example, I found something that was a surprise that was not expecting. It was a small surprise, but still great. Have you found any of those yet? And BIG congrats 👏 🙌 on the Red one. I really want to see the red in person because every color Acura has produced is stunning....absolutely stunning. So well done on taking the delivery on what I consider one of the very best cars around :)

I just took delivery last night. I went for an early morning drive, and stopped at a light. I was listening to Kay Nakayama , and the navigation system was talking, and then I heard " Hey, Hey" , I looked to the right and there was a guy in another car. He began to tell me what a super fine car it is. He was excited!! I thanked him and then Hooned .Hahaha Only surprise I've found is that the hood looks very cool from the front seat. It was in plain sight but I did not notice until my second drive this afternoon. Soooo, what did you find, give me a hint., please@@PlasmadaeDal

I really enjoyed this video - congrats on the latest addition to your Integra stable! I agree with your assessment of the A-Spec 6MT being analogous to the GS-R. I had a 1998 Integra LS sedan (which I loved) - maybe the parallel to that one would be a A-Spec with CVT? 😁 Looking forward to seeing your continued Integra journeys!!

Hey man great vid! I also actually have a deposit down at Jody Wilkinson Acura in SLC and am next up on the list so hopefully they get allocations for this month. I was wondering when you got the car if you financed through the dealer, and if you did what rates were they offering for the Type S? Thanks!

Sweet! I also hope more allocations start rolling in! Acura should make a fair bit of these to satisfy the initial demand because they are sweet cars! The rates are not horrible, but nothing lower than 5% i don't believe. Interest rates everywhere are around 7% with not dropping in sight. In fact, I thought I heard the fed was going to raise interest rates AGAIN! DOH! whatever the case, these cars are worth it and you will love it.

Yea lol the feds raised the rates again but I got a pretty sweet deal with my bank Navy Fed at 4.54% but was just curious if financing through Acura would be better because they do have some incentives. Thanks for the reply and the info, Josh is who I’ve been working with and he said they’ll know the allocations for this month next week so fingers crossed they get some in, I keep having 2nd thoughts on what color to get tho and it’s driving me crazy because they all look so good, rn I’m in the books for silver but I still have yet to see that color or the liquid carbon anywhere yet.

@tylergarcia2693 You'll be better off with your 4.5%, even with excellent credit, the rates are not superb, but was better than I thought. Josh is a great guy, I'll cross fingers too! As far as the colors, I nearly got the liquid carbon, and if you lean to that, I'd consider the copper rims, they looks sweet. Any color is gonna be so sweet, so whatever color you can get, I'd recommend taking it haha. Don't know when you'll get another chance at it! Here's to hoping you get the color you want!

Maybe I will be too when I get mine. I have driven Civics for most of my adult life. I started out with the 1985 CRX HF and my current car is the 2015 Si. I feel bummed about how slow my car is and want something faster for passing. I only want a stick shift and won't buy RWD for Winter reasons. I love my Civic but was bummed that the 2022 was no faster than the 2015 which I already feel is too slow. I was going to buy the Type-R, but they wanted a $15,000 mark-up, so I ordered the Type S instead in Apex Blue with Ebony interior.
