I mean, I don't like Miss America as a pagent because it's weird we make women parade around in bikinis and judge them in 2014, but even I think it's nice a woman of color won. It would be better if the whole competition didn't exist, but if it has to exist it's better to have more diversity.

Beefy3daygrowth are you really going to sit here a play like you're the victim when other races of people are being called racial slurs for winning beauty pageants? how did that turn into white guilt, nobody told you to feel guilty all I said was it's not racist to point out racism. you're really a weak pathetic human being if you can't swallow reality and want to cry over something that has nothing to even do with you. if you're not racist you wouldn't feel guilty, don't feel guilty when people call out other white people for being racist if they are being racists that's super fucking petty and dumb people who are bein bullied by assholes have every right to speak out and be hurt about it but you have no right to tell other people to shut up about being hurt.

I'm a white girl who speaks about the prevalence of racism to anyone whose ear I have. I use this simple explanation. "There's nothing more stupid than hating someone over something they have absolutely no choice in. We don't get to pick our parents." Although in my case, I sure wish I could have. My father tried to make me a racist but being young in the sixties, I saw how horrible they were. And while I paid for my choice with abuse both physical and verbal, I am the better person for having done so. Keep speaking, C!

Thank you for posting this... I actually just quit working for an international beauty pageant because of the institutionalized racism against black women. Every year the INTERNATIONAL winner is a blonde haired white girl (except one year... A brunette white girl) despite constant inquires from women of all color. The 2 final nails in the coffin were when a gorgeous black woman won the popular vote for a contest online but another blonde girl was chosen as the winner for "logistical" reasons, and when only one of over a dozen black women (locals to that island) was chosen to compete in the international pageant despite hosting the pageant on that particular island! F-ing ridiculous. I have a bunch of similar stories. I quit earlier than I planned on it (was a temp job) but I checked in on the final... Out of over 60 women I counted 4 black women and guess who one?? Another blonde white girl.

Nina would have 0 change to win in her home country, cos of the skin color. Belive it or not its true facts. U need to look at the numbers. India has 1.2 billion people, before partiion it was more than 2000 milion people. Its very cast oriented country. with allready native africans living for 500 years before african students came. If you looks different in any country in the world...you can get harrased and abused, Just the chance in india is bigger cos you will be seen by 1000 times more eyes just walk out from your hotel room than in any county int eh world. Not only blacks have hard time in India, Dalits, Mongoloids/ Indian chinese in North east. or just if your a white indian go to tamil nadu you will for sure be harrased as a "forigner"

***** I do agree with everything you said but I still think blacks are much more racist than Indians. Look you're an Indian and like many Indians you speak up against racism in India. How many blacks do you know were against killing Indians in Uganda? Every black that knows about this claim that Indians got what they deserve. The only crime Indian did in Uganda was working hard and becoming successful. let's face it blacks will always be racists no matter what. Even Miss America is getting alot of hate by blacks but people only talk about white people being racist.
@giovannibonera437811 жыл бұрын
LordFriezzzza Of cos, but india is 2.5 bilion people before the partision of india , If you include the traditoonal india, bangladesh, paksitan, afganistan ... its not strange to have racism with 2.5 bilion people. 1500 registered languages ( not dialects, independet languages) hundres of races/ethnic tribes, Its 12 times more than usa. of cos you have problem with different races and colors. . Africa is around 500 milion people.

Your all wrong, Native americans don't like to be called American that is a European word for the American continent not Native american. Americans is the name given to the soveregn country the USA so the people who built, drew borders, and maintain this country are Americans. Blacks didnt build this country there is no way they make up 13% of the population and didn't live in the North the North the most developed!!How did the north get built? How did the west get built? There was only slavery in the south. Alaska,the mid-west and majority of country have no blacks so how did they get built? This is to open your mind when you connect the logic you will see most of the racist stuff you were taught at afro-centric studies is also illogicall. Your very racist against white peope too I hope no one actually takes you seriously. Also slave labor is a small thing like every company managers, designers,planners, make the buisness run the labor only a part of the machine to build so the blacks were only a part of what built the south and only the south which is only 25% of the country. YOU HAVE NO LOGIC JUST RACIST AFRO-CENTRIC INDOCTRINATION.

@sunnydaze809 жыл бұрын
+Ricardo Gonzales You do realize that America's wealth came from the cotton industry right? The southern states were the richest states in the union. They sold the cotton to the northern states who then made it into fabric and ready-made clothing, which was then sold to Europe. The reason why northern states are more developed today compared to southern states today is because they were able to move on after the civil war and develop other industries. But don't get it twisted. What moved the U.S. from a struggling, newly independent nation to a wealthy economic power was cotton and the peculiar institution of slavery.

There's a difference between protecting yourself and being cautious and making an assumption that someone is doing something illegal based on their skin color, which is what happened in this instance. if she didn't feel safe THAT'S FINE. She OPENED HER DOOR and then decided he was trying to rob her? She called the police and told him he was trying to break into her house which is not what he was doing. you do not knock on someone's door when you're attempting to rob them.

I love how you get your point across in such an eloquent way. As a white middle class teenager, I'm often excluded on this topic. I live in the South, so I've grown up around it, I've seen it first hand. I'm not talking about just white on black, though. Racism isn't prejudice, it can come from any color. I live for the day when we aren't black,brown, white, blue, green, straight, gay, Christian, atheist, man, woman. I live for the day when we can all just be people.

Yes, yes you are quite good at this. :) I didn't keep up with this situation very much, but it's cool to hear from you and dang I hope Miss America is doing all right. I guess she must've encountered enough crap just getting to where she is that she's used to it. It's so great to hear your stance on the situation, though, and I hope it can really start to change people's minds.

hm. I'm not sure if I've heard of Nazis being described as terrorists, but it's been brought to my attention that terrorism requires hitting a certain number of points in order to qualify. but sadly, i've heard my fair share of Nazi apologists that try to make excuses for why it happened or minimize the responsibility of those involved. thanks for clarifying.

1. I could barely pay attention to the points u were making because, omg! your makeup and hair is so beautiful!! 2. WOW, u literally voiced everything I've been thinking since that horrible massacre at the movie theatre in Colorado. Everyone was saying, "oh he must've been so depressed...he must've had such a hard life.." Are u serious?? When PoC are involved in violent crimes, there is NO sympathy, and no one to evaluate their psyche and analyze why they committed the act.

I have just watched a few of your videos which had the comments turned off, meaning that I was unable to say how interesting I found them. Thank you, I have subscribed accordingly.

and certain POC have passing privilege (where they appear white but ethnically aren't) because of their skin tone that I don't have as a black person. yes, the Irish were at one time a minority in this country, but they opted into whiteness largely by oppressing black people. once they were considered white and no longer irish, they forgot all about the discrimination they received alongside black people and engaged in it as well. the book, "how the irish became white" details this.

Wow Chesca, this was a great video. As a 'white' American expat who has been living abroad for 10 years (including in an Arabic Muslim state) it's so great to see someone standing up and arguing against these terrible social norms...norms which I wish still weren't persistent in America on a day to day basis, but clearly are.

its great that you are trying to reach out to people and educate them ...I really tried to talk to my own people but it seems we are so divided by class and religion no one even wants to try to see or talk about a different point of view ..they are so shut down and think they know best its hard to communicate..but I am glad your successfully reaching out to so many people who are open to understanding and educating themselves ..keep it up !
