@@mollymollylolli what was knock knock? I loved Cabin Fever, Hostel, and Hostel II. I was upset he didn't do Cabin Fever 2, or Hostel III. Now, these days, I don't think I could watch those kinds of movies. I don't really have the stomach for it. Strangely, I can still do Saw. After the Black Friday scene in Thanksgiving, I didn't know if I could finish the movie, but I was able to, thankfully. It was really good. I recommend watching the Grindhouse Thanksgiving trailer - see the original premise. They kept a lot, actually. And made a lot changes. But it was really good.

FUN FACT: The accent Patrick Dempsey is using in the film is his real native Maine accent. Patrick does the same thing Ben Affleck & Matt Damon does with their Massachusetts accents, surpress it for their career

its funny you said patrick is trying to do an accent, fun fact, its his real accent, he lost it for hollywood, and was happy he could use his real accent in this film. also i thought it was the sheriff's sister who died, and i was so confused why he was allow to work on the case and why no one was like 'sorry for your loss' and then i was even more confused at the reveal HAHAHAHHA

Agreed. Usually I'm not the type of person who gets grossed out or disturb by violent gore in movies like these. But alot of these scenes really had me wince, particularly the whole "Kathleen Human Turkey" stuff. Like damn 🤢🤮

I saw this in the theater after all the positive buzz I was hearing. Did not disappoint. Throwback to the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer 90s flicks. This is a good slasher movie! I did not guess the killer (or killers for those that haven't watched it or didn't watch this watchalong reaction). Surprised and shocked! Looking forward to the sequel.

8:32 Disturbing but true fact : This actually happened to someone at Wal-mart on a Black Friday back in 2007. There was a rowdy crowd and the doors broke , falling on the worker. The crowd trampled them to death upon rushing inside. I learned this from Dark5 and WatchMojo's video about Black Friday incidents.

I can't remember if y'all touched on this in the beginning, but this movie started out as just a fake trailer, by Eli Roth, that was played in between the two films by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez that were released collectively as Grindhouse. Tarantino's was Death Proof (which I highly recommend), and Rodriguez's Planet Terror. Another fake trailer was by Rodriguez himself, called Machete, which also got produced into a feature length film with Danny Trejo.

Patrick Dempsey is from Maine and he used to have that kind of accent but had to unlearn it because of being an actor. I guess he was really excited to use it again lol as a fellow Mainer, it felt a bit forced but I suppose he had to relearn it so it makes sense! This was a bit too gory for me at times but it does give original kills. The ovan scene reminds me of final Destination 3 with the tanning beds,there is also a bit of the movie Valantine in here and the ending with the killer getting away with the firefighter's mask on is like the My Bloody Valantine remake. If they bring back Neve as Sydney in Scream 7 then yes I am guessing Patrick will be back as Mark but personally they should just let the franchise end on 7 for the risk of making it too much like the first one, but on the other hand I do think having sydney back would be cool. I do like this movie and thought it was an original idea to bring a killing during Thanksgiving cause no one has done that before. Glad you both enjoyed this one.

Nahhh there are plot holes with how the sheriff and killer are in the same place. I guess there are two killers, the other one is ryan. Like his character was really suspicious and when they were all kidnapped, he was nowhere to be seen until the end (like isn't he one of the major characters?) like huh? His character became underwhelming at the end like it's almost impossible. If there will be a thanksgiving 2, I bet my money ryan is connected to the sheriff. Maybe he even help the sheriff at the end (when the balloon exploded because no body was seen) hmmm

The multiple killers thing doesn't work for me. Cus remember the timers in the house when the mom was trying to escape? i think those pinged after the timer went off so the sheriff could be at the station while the livestreams were going. but also during the chase scene out of the house in the woods it felt like he teleported and changed clothes SO quick

Okay, so I went and looked up the ORIGINAL Grindhouse Thanksgiving trailer Eli Roth made when Tarantino/Rodriguez did their 2007 Grindhouse double-feature. You have to do yourselves the favor of going back and watching the original trailer... I mean, you don't HAVE to 😄 😄 but you would be doing yourselves a huge disservice. The cheerleader bit was... 😮 🤣 🤣 maybe do a reaction to it. Also, Death Proof, the Tarantino half of Grindhouse is an amazing movie. The other half is Planet Terror, which I think I'm gonna go watch right now for the first time.

I just watched this movie yesterday and everyone is calling it one of the best horror movies but i personally was confused as to where some characters went, like the husband and the Ryan and thought the kills were creative but i wasnt really rooting for much of these characters but the movie wasnt necessarily bad it was just not my favorite

Also, how is it possible that he was chasing Jessica in the forest but still had time to drive back to the warehouse to frame Bobby and stage the attack before Jess could even reach the warehouse?
