The green beans are suppose to be brighter not darker..fresh green beans (ends chopped) diced onion thinly sliced àlmonds sàuteed in butter until softened then add cream of mushroom (homemade or canned) cut thin slived onion rings marinate in seasoned buttermilk then fry them to put on top....those frenches fried onions are for the birds
