@gnarbeljo89802 жыл бұрын
@@sheilaghk6350 not really. Great taste is one thing, interior decorating is entirely different. Understanding spacial proportions, how to make rooms seem bigger by furnishing them etc is a talent and profession that takes alot of studying. And different from making vignettes for example. They both have lots of talent and compliment each other. It's really nice to see Philip do something he's very good at, he's a performer so in videos he's mostly learning and winging it whilst everyone else is so specialized and exellent. He's got a knack for this obviously (looks much better than before, makes complete sense too) so so it's not critique. The whole décor scheme makes better sense this way, a chinese laquer box coctail salon and an airy dining room with lots of french doors/windows and trompe l'œil wallpaper in receding colors making the table the focal point. Some people study years to understand this, others just feel it, and it's a gift to explore!

I'm so happy to see LaLande experiencing the wonderful traditional Thanksgiving meal and decorations that we all love and honor here in the States! I just got my pumpkin pie out of the oven, ready to peel my sweet potatoes, dressing is ready to go in the oven, and cranberry sauce is in the frig. Regular Potatoes are ready to be peeled, cooked and mashed. Others are bringing the rest. How wonderful there's an entire day set aside to focus on being thankful! Of course we should count our blessings and be truly thankful every single day of the year! I'll never forget the very first time remember I seeing darling "Mummy", when she came breezing into the kitchen singing "... count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done!" And at that moment I completely fell in love with her! Being able to "count our blessings" even in hard times is a great virtue and a wonderful treasure! The switch from entry to Dining Room is wonderful! And I think the colors and atmosphere is calmer, and will match more varieties of color schemes with your dishes and table decor than with the red. Beautiful either way, but better now! Thanks again for bringing us along, even up to the roof and view beyond! Please get all well soon, and we'll definitely miss Marie! Glad she'll be back with the spring flowers!!! Happy Thanksgiving from WallaWalla, Washington!

Yay! A true American Thanksgiving! So nice to see you enjoying a comprehensive sampling of our dishes for Thanksgiving! The turkey pot pie was a fun twist. 😋 We ate the much the same and the trick to enjoying such a feast is to eat early...then wait 30 minutes+ to revisit the buffet for round two! Also, take time to go around the table and say what you are Thankful for this year! Don't forget that Thanksgiving leftovers are also AMAZING! Initially, eating it exactly the same is yummy. However, with such a feast comes much leftovers and the necessity for remaking the food into different dishes is key to avoiding waste and enjoying the food in a new way -turning the whole turkey into pot pie, using the stuffing/dressing as the bread along with the ham for eggs benedict, or turning mashed potatoes (also a staple) into potato pancakes, etcetera, excetera.... Happy Thanksgiving! A great way to usher in the Holidays!
