Join us for another overnight backpacking trip on Thanksgiving day! For this trip we headed to Cumberland Falls in Corbin Kentucky. We started out at the impressive Niagara Falls of the south before heading off on the Sheltowee Trace trail for some Thanksgiving/black Friday camping. Mikka the adventure pug leads the way!
Hiking in a twenty pound turkey is a little unrealistic, right?? We play more of our interpretation game (it's clearly Loch Ness!) on our way out to Dog Slaughter Falls, yes that's really the name! We take the opportunity to re-name the falls because Mikka didn't care for that name. Check out our 100% effective bear proof overnight food storage technique.

Those big leaves are Umbrella Magnolia. I was a Park Ranger at nearby Cumberland Gap NHP. It's a beautiful part of the country. Thanks to both of you so much for sharing your adventure!

I stayed there a few years back as well. Supposedly one of only 2 places on earth where you can see a Moonbow "rainbow at night" Best catfish dinner I ever had at the restaurant there.

we really appreciate you watching and enjoying this video :) This was a very fun trip and we feel it never got the views it should have. These videos are the best way to get to know us! It's hard to watch some of these videos for us, our poor Mikka pug passed away from a heart condition last May, it was devastating for us.

Better to keep her on leash, as Coyotes and Coy-dogs have become a bit more common.
