I have such joy and hopefulness when I listen to Elder LeGrand Richards talk about the gospel. Being reminded of the blessings that we are promised if we obey the word of wisdom gives me renewed strength to stop questioning the small mysteries of some things we've been asked to do, or in some cases, advised NOT to do. We've been blessed with the free agency to make our own choices, to follow along on the Lord's path, or chose to take a path of our own. Elder Richards has a wonderful way of reminding us of the blessings we will receive, and the Lord's companionship that will be by our side if we strive to endure to the end and remain obedient.

How I love Elder Richards. The spirit is so strong as I listen to him again as I did when I attended this meeting 39 years ago. Thank you for the feelings of peace, courage and hopefulness that I feel as you, Elder Richards, share your testimony as a voice from the past. May many be blessed the same as they hear your words miraculously from the palm of their hand as I just did! God is spreading His word in wondrous ways to those who seek Him. I pray that someone will be blessed this day by hearing these words from an apostle who has blessed me since my youth. I have felt the joy of having the fullness of the gospel in my life and I desire that everyone experience this same joy. I love it when he says that the gospel will be spread throughout all of North and South America. It has been a joy to see it grow in my lifetime. I wish I was a better missionary and could share this joy with many. May God bless us through this journey.
