That Cross Helmet bunch did exactly that. Spoke to a friend in Japan who’s actually seen one on the road, spoke to the rider and said it was lit. Seems to be in production, but pricey. $2k for the helmet and the reactive gloves.

You know what's important for helmets? As lightweight as possible. More weight increase risk of neck injuries in crashes, and is downright noticeably uncomfortable. These are not safer, more comfortable, or better helmets by any means. Camera + Battery + cables + projectors + etc, this stuff adds up.

Most of these aren't available. One is using COVID as a delay excuse when they have been 'delayed' for years. I bookmark the ones I like, then see how they develop over time before even thinking of tossing my money at them. It's too bad because I need a helmet with a HUD. I ride an electric unicycle, and a HUD helmet would make me a more confident rider.

I currently use a Sedici Moderna II. It's a modular full faced helmet with bluetooth connectivity. Now that I've watched this video I think I need to upgrade. Having hud in the helmet would be sweet, especially with a rear view camera.

A back up camera for a motorcycle. A vehicle best known for having no reverse gear, and you want to stick a back up camera in the helmet. At least I assume they call it a back up camera. The bass was so loud, and the voice was so soft, I couldn't understand a word the guy said. Forget the cameras and HUD's. A bluetooth connection to your phone would be nice for music and maps alone. What more do you need?

With the flexible glass we have of today why can't we have a helmet of sorts with integrated sound and a monitor built in. they make portable cinema glasses but the light leaks make the quality in most cases not worth having and the best remedy I can see is to enclose it..... Might not be for everyone but what is for everyone

Learn to use fusion 360 (you can get it for free with a student license even if you aren't a student) get a basic design going , buy a 3d printer print out your helmet build it add the electronics afterwards then you have your basic concept. Then you can design ways to make it dot approved and what not

Most of those are concepts/prototypes and arguably don't "exist" in the real market yet, or are scams/rip offs. The only reputable helmet, which you can actually buy, was the SENA. This video demonstrates a clear lack of credibility. All it shows is you can use Google and throw together a montage video. No fact checking, or any attempt to provide useful feedback to prospective buyers.
