@@strykertool Oh, I didn't mean sad in that way. I thought it was cool. There is a picture of him and Wilmer and Mila on the set on Don's IMDB page, and you can see the joy in their faces sitting with an icon. Also, it's funny that even though Barney is the first thing you think about Don, his last few roles on 8 Simple Rules, Las Vegas, and here were all playing with his Mr. Furley period.

I love this show but there are SO many goofs and errors in it. Fenton was fez's landlord, why was Don Knotts all of a sudden fez's landlord for one episode?

The whole 'Fez and Jackie' thing was a homage to shows of the era; it was also playing off Three's Company's intro to some degree. Don Knotts was the landlord in that show, so I think given the whole 'sitcom' nature of Fez and Jackie that they showed in Fez's imagination earlier they decided to go all in and Bring in Don Knotts for this episode to reprise his landlord role.
