But I do think that Hyde wouldn't have done that. His relationship with Jackie was going great. It wasn't even easy to start it (bc she was his friend ex girlfriend) so why would he just throw it all away? But, well, men. I think they could have been end game. They ended up tossing Jackie aroung from guy to guy only to end up with Fez (which I didn't like, although I LOVE Fez). And all that only to end up with Kelso as we see in That 90's show. I feel like they lost the string but whatever.

While I get your point, I truly think that the only real reason as to why Jackie kept taking Kelso back was because he was her first love, boyfriend, kiss, etc.. I dont quite remember the episodes before this, but didnt they decide to take some time apart because she kept pressuring him to say he loved her, and since he wouldnt, she said she was done with him or their relationship or something? I'd take that as being dumped, i dont classify it so much as cheating as a miscommunication. At the same time, they both needed to stop beating around it and have a serious 1 on 1 talk about it. She shouldnt have pressured him about it. He should have done some real thinking on it before doing what he did.

I can appreciate why Kelso wanted to go after Jackie again, since it is established that Kelso has the memory of goldfish in regards to the bad times, and Jackie did come with a lot of perks on Kelso's end (in terms of Jackie buying him things and sort of mothering him--in her own weird way), but I never understood why Jackie would want to get back together with Kelso after having dated Hyde. She was still shallow, but she had seemed to have grown enough to realize that Kelso wasn't much of a boyfriend.

I dont blame him for not wanting to get back together with her after the summer. Then he gave her space because he himself felt that she needed to get better, he never tried to push her to get back with him. Then once all was said and done she tried to change him into things that he wasnt, despite that he changes cause he thinks its doing him good, then once they get back together, once again jackie tries to force him to marry her in order for her to stay. Then she leaves before he gives her answer and when he tries to find her and tell her that he loves her and wants to marry her, shes caught messing around with kelso. So its not all his fault.

Hyde did love Jackie. He just grew up in a toxic family, where love was never expressed in a healthy way. His parents walked in and out of his life, so therefore he expected people like Jackie to leave. Especially since she had a pattern of going back to her old boyfriend Kelso . So when Hyde assumed that Jackie was cheating on him with Kelso , he lashed out instead of communicating about it. Jackie was already hurt by all the times that kelso cheated on her, so she couldn’t trust Hyde anymore. She still loved Hyde, but she also really liked feeling like she’s smart and useful compared to Kelso . So she waited until the very last minute to decide between them , but Hyde got fed up with waiting for a answer . That’s why he went out with another girl. Hyde grew up feeling like he didn’t matter and his family came around when it was convenient for them. He didn’t want to go through it again with the girl, who he actually loved. Hyde even thought about marrying Jackie, because in season 8 he told her that he didn’t want to get married just yet. He even said in a season 6 episode, that Jackie looked beautiful while she was trying wedding dresses for fun .
