Yes it's unfortunate that it had to be civilians but neither of us were living in that time and all sides wanted an end to the chaos of WW2, the Nazis were just as bad but the method of mass killing was vastly different. Nazis used an almost industrial style of execution whereas the Japanese would torture, disembowl, behead, burn alive, cannibalism, using bioweapons on civilians ect... Don't even get me started on Nanking. The Soviets were not nice to the civilian populations on their advance on Berlin so don't even try to make an excuse you hypocrite, my great grandparents fell to the Third Reich so the crushing of Germany was partly justified it's unfortunate civilians had to suffer but that is war.
