I've watched to episode 4 so far, no worries, no spoilers, lol. But damn, I'm having so much fun with this, not just because of nostalgia, even though it is NAILING that. It's just... So fun, like you said yourself. It's just nailing the vibe and all of it as well in pretty much all the ways and using the OG cast so far in such awesome ways. I figured I'd love this for what it is, but damn, I'm loving it SOOO much more.

I surprisingly found myself binging this show in one sitting. It's good! It's not the best sitcom out there, but it's enjoyable and light-hearted. Also it helps that I was a huge fan of That 70's Show growing up. Not sure if zoomers would be into this show as other generations were with the previous one.

yes i said it doesn't seem that different to me either. people say the jokes are "disneyfied" that is how kids in sitcoms have to be now so the jokes seem lighter maybe but idk it still feels enough the same. and sitcoms being cringe is why i like them in the first place tbh.

I agree. You can tell they struggled nailing down some of the new characters but some they've got down. Sherri is incredible, Gwen is solid, Nate isn't too far away, Jay fits the Kelso brand though he's a little confusing.

There were definitely a few anachronisms in the background of the video store. The one that really stood out to me was the bag of Sour Patch Kids right behind Jay. It very clearly had the current packaging, which has only been around for the past decade or so. It used to look way different, with cartoony drawings of kids instead of the candy pieces as characters. I know it's not important and it doesn't really bother me when I'm watching the show, but I would've appreciated more attention to detail with stuff like that.

Darth Vader had the title "Dark Lord of the Sith" on trading cards and action figure packaging going all the way back to 1977. It was also used in the original novelization which actually came out before the movie premiered. So the word Sith has been around from the beginning. It was just kind of obscure and unexplained, but definitely something a very obsessed fan like Eric could have picked up at some point.

a few more things I don't know if you've noticed. The 70s show ended on January 1, 1980. The 90s show starts in 1995, and Leia is turning 15. Which means that Leia was born July 4, or around then, 1980. MEANING....that she would have to have been conceived around November 1979.....except for the fact that Eric was in Africa for a year....so how can Leia have been born in July, 1980 (MY birthday, by the way) ? Was she born 3 months premature ? That doesn't make sense. There's no way a baby that young would have survived.
