When It's Red and Kittie it feels like the next season after "that 70's show" ends. The first few episodes try to emulate the original show with the characters taking on the same roles as its predecessor just set in a (in their opinion) 90's theme while relying on old school characters. After the first couple episodes the show really starts to morph into its own and the characters start to take on their own personas rather than trying to replicate the original show. At times it had a very "saved by the bell: college years" tone. I'm starting to really enjoy this show. Definitely worth a watch.

The only reason I can think of why that 70s show did so well was because the actors like ashton and topher were born in 1978 they grew up in the 80s which is pretty close to the 70s. unlike the 90s show actors who were born past 2004 and didn't experience childhood till 2010 they had no idea what the 90s was like, not even close. Also the technology jump from 90s to 2010 is significantly higher from 70s to 80s so the 90s show actors clearly have no idea what anything was from the 90s
