@@lollipop84858 Because it wasn't uncommon to see a Hotrod with a trailer hitch back in those days. Our Hotrods were our everyday drivers and if you had a boat or a small trailer you pulled it with the only vehicle you owned.

@@gordocarbo Isky bushed max lifters and Comp cams ultra pro magnum rockers, best strongest most durable set up short of steel shaft rockers. Steel shaft rockers are $2500, so unless you're spinning above 7500rpm shaft rockers not worth $2500.. You better get the Isky Max bushed lifters and dont look back.

We're building 582 with the goal of just north of 1000hp NA for my '72 Nova. In the past I've used Crower Enduramax bronze bushed lifters. However, I couldn't find anyone with any of those, nor the Isky Red Zone max bushed lifters in stock. So I ended up ordering the BAM steel bushed DLC lifters. Price was similar for all three, hopefully the quality will be as well. Nice hotrod.

Street strip car means the cam is a street solid roller not a drag race only cam. You can drive in traffic, freeway, street day or night, grocery shopping, drive thru's....etc. Drive to work every day if practical. Street strip car is never trailered, always driven everywhere you go. Street strip car doesn't overheat in traffic and idle is tolerable. I have a fuel injected 438windsor 68 mustang with Comp cams biggest shelf street roller cam they sell and its borderline on street but drives fine. I always make sure not to let it idle too long before i drive it, and I always throw in neutral at stop to keep rpms up for oil pressure. I dont run it hard till oil reaches 180 degrees. Check valve lash once a year. Cold lash on my cam is .010 Intake and .012 exhaust. Car has holley Terminator x efi and big stalled th400 with 410 gears on e85 and weighs 3k lbs without me in it. It hauls fcking ass. My tuner is guessing low 10's and possibly high 9's with slicks. Car is a fcking blast and people always trying to film it with cellphones...lol

Run a custom Isky solid roller...ramps are stout but not too much so it beats the valve train up 7 inches vacuum on a good day but would drive it anywhere except for hours in gridlock traffic. Love solids, nothing like em!
