Smh. And if someone gets a sentence that’s too harsh, does that mean the victim family has also used money to influence judges? Could it just be that maybe the judge has a different opinion than you. I think the sentence was perfectly fine. You have actual people who committed purposeful murder who get 20 or 25 years. Yes it’s very sad that she killed two little boys, but I think One‘s intention actually matters most. In their life before that mattered. We all have done Bad things, and many of us have done horribly reckless behavior similar to that either sober or drinking. So I don’t think she should be locked away the same is some gang member that does a drive-by.b

@@iMatti00can you shut up you sound so stupid. This is the same comment just copied and pasted from a different reply. When you choose to do something like 1) drive drunk 2) take Valium 3) race in your car while under the influence of 1 and 2 that’s HIGHLY INTENTIONAL. Yes, 15 years for each child. All that can be done now is to file a lawsuit with a financial forensic team to figure out the length her legal team along with the family went to hide her wealth so when she gets out she won't be able to race cars with boyfriends under the influence like an perpetual ancient teenager. Taking her livelihood will never compensate for the loss and lifetime of grief, but is the only way to assure she doesn't return to a life of wealth and comfort for what she did.

15 years to life. 15 years is just the minimum. Think about it Grossman is 60 something years old. If she serves even the minimum she won't get out til she's 75. That's a lot of good years taken. I just hope those boy's mom is at that first parole hearing and tells what life has been like without her sons. Remind the parole board that Grossman didn't show an ounce of remorse, always blaming other people/factors for her what she did I would make sure that she serves every second of those minimum 15 years.

The young man that killed my nephew, while drinking and driving got 18 months in bootcamp. The Judge said she didn't want to ruin his life. My nephew left behind a 6 year old daughter, a 10 year old daughter, 3 brothers, a mother and a host of relatives and friends that grieve him to this day. This young mans name is the same as my Nephew that he killed. Christopher. In court Christopher said "I can't believe he has the same name as me!" I didn't know Mrs Grossman had tried a halfway apology when she was sentenced. It's actually reassuring to hear some of the emotion was hitting her? A local LA news ourlet said when the sentencing happened, Mrs Grossman's daughter turned to the Iskanders and said "look what you did!" I get that that young woman is hurting that her mother's gonna be on the inside, but that was so cruel and uncalled for. She needs to be careful she doesn't completely inherit her mother's entitled outlook on life - which is partly what got her here. This is nothing to say of the hurtful things the Grossman family indirectly did to the Iskanders before & during the court case; just because they were desperate to keep Rebecca from taking responsibility. 1. That horrible puff-piece article in Southern California Life to buy PR which not only minimised what Rebecca did but painted her to be the *main* victim. 2. Having an easier ride through the arrest & booking process, eg her mugshot wasn't automatically publicised as normal. This is pure speculation but they're from a wealthy socialite community and that kinda helping hand is common. 3. Leaking sealed evidence that was ruled by the Judge to be inadmissable for the trial (again normal court procedure) to journalists. I think with the hope that the journalist would report on it then potential jurors could either be influenced or there'd be grounds for a mistrial. 4. A considerable bulk of her defence tried to point the blame at her companion Scott Eriksson as being the one who hit & therefore killed the children first. He didn't as was proven by the investigators. He wasn't entirely innocent either as he was driving recklessly too, but she was trying to throw him under the bus here.

God I hope not. It's BS in the first place that she got off so lightly(it should have been 15 years for EACH child, minimum of 30 years) but like a lot of people said enough money can by anything, including avoiding prison time.

7 years is going to go really slow, I'm guessing. I couldn't imagine being in jail or prison one minute, more or less years. I quit drinking in 1982, when drunk driving wasn't that serious yet. It is now, here in Arizona, it's 1-180 days mandatory jail time, even the first dui, and you pay for your jail time. Very serious crime here, as it should be.

Money talks and you can clearly see that Rebecca Grossman got off easy. I would not be able to accept this sentencing. I would take matters into my hands. An eye for an eye. Grossman will be eligible for paroled in 7-10 years. No parent should ever have to bury their child. My condolences and prayers for the loss of these boys. No

You'd be sorry later, and the thoughts would haunt you. If a person goes to jail or prison, no one is there to provide and protect their family. I think it's best to do nothing.
