Sorry but the 'm' word (which I would never utter nowadays) really was the everyday term for black/white biracial identity. His 6th album, but I don't believe that mainstream media was paying attention to Prince until 1999 and or Purple Rain.
@chukuamorfam98192 жыл бұрын
@@HappyRoach1 Prince already had a platinum hit album with Controversy, a quadruple platinum album with 1999 and a 13 times platinum album with Purple Rain. In what universe is that not paid attention to by pop music media?! The interviewer is an idiot and did an interview w/o a lick of research. Period. I don’t listen to today’s HipHop but if I interviewed one of today’s rap artists, I would research their accomplishments 1st before making myself look stupid on a public platform 🙄

Just curious what nuttiness did Appolonia have??
@malikeltheos55092 жыл бұрын
@@chrissytina6379 I believe the "nuttiness" being spoken of is referring to later and more current days wherein Appolonia did some interviews sounding a bit nutty and making far out claims about having authored some of Prince's biggest hits. Also, the excessive cosmetic surgeries that she underwent made her appear a bit weird and yes, 'nutty.' Check out some of her interviews circa: 2012-2022 and judge for yourself? PS. In this interview she was ABSOLUTELY beautiful and on point mentally. She was so perfect in this one.

Did she really see Purple Rain or just previews? You cannot see the movie and not know he's something special. Even before the movie, doing any sort of research on him at all should tell u he's something special. What are these questions?! 😒😩 This woman is the type to walk right up to you and think it's ok to touch your hair and question u on it and think there's nothing wrong with that. Ugh

This was way past the previews! The movie had already been released, played for three of the four seasons that year, been nominated and won the Oscar. This was a white woman with no clue about music or culture, or racial sensitivity. And who underestimated the black man entirely.

He composed, wrote lyrics, played instruments, produced, edited, directed and performed his OWN original music… and so many awards, movies & legacy for future generations! 💔we will never forget him… 😢
