Believe me this is not something the dev's don't already know, infact in their dev letter they already know how to make skill base matchmaking ,they just simply refuse to do so, the terrible match making is on purpose

firstly I'd like to say the voice reveal was very nice! Also yeah, the current system is inherently flawed to it's very core, it's a matchmaking that is built to prioritize speed over quality, that's why you get free japan trips if you don't constantly reset, cause the circus clowns over at the tent thought it's a good idea to make you play with 400 ping if it means faster matchmaking. The rank distribution is also flawed, every rank below vet is just bots you will always defeat unless you're *really* bad, then you get vet with beginners and ultra becomes a combination of new players and more experienced players that just get put together due ot the game not considering individual mmr, but the worse offender is that ultra players can play with master players of *any* point amount, meaning an ultra 5 player with 160 games can end up in the same game as a masters 2000 player with 10k games, which is not fun. But the game has such little levels of care it really feels like someone's solo indie project rather than a game owned by the same company as the biggest china mobile moba, here's a fun fact: a while ago they added beginner and great classes 4 and 5 but never updated the new players missions to reflect that, and let's not even start talking about the lack of tutorials and information in the game, or the information that's straight up wrong Will the game fix itself? nah, but maybe if it merges with cn there's hope And this is only a part of the issue, there's the whole other thing of there being nothing to grind for other than rank for multiple days at a time, balance patches written by playing darts, there being no other mode different from ranked (every mode uses the same concept of reach the most points in X minutes), server sided issue that make the game extra annoying to play (ever stopped moving during early game despite your inputs? yeah that's what i'm talking about), and last but not the least the entire game coming down to 1 objective With this essay over, great video overall ;D

Thank you Marcy Yeah exactly they won't fix it cause it's designed that way :( This Wall concept (better skill base matchmaking) can fix so much of the problem but fixing that problem doesn't get them more money, as it really can drive other players out

Yup, this is mentioned plenty of times before, timi won't do anything about this. They just make some unnecessary buffs or nerfs to pokemons and make p2w player pay more for the in-game purchases. On a clearer note, timi cares about profits more than the player base. Btw, you're voice sounds good in this video. Edit: typo

The main reason this is out of consideration is connection, the match finds the players that can best connect to eachother for the least lag then sorts them out based on skill but results vary as one really good teamate may have bad ones while the other team is just normal but balanced. Due to poor nintendo net code and a smaller playerbase in comparison to league its not something that could be implemented.

YOU CAN EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING THE GAME HAS TO OFFER IN 1 to 2 HOURS AND NOT SPEND A PENNY. RANKED DOESN'T ENHANCE THE EXPERIENCE ONLY THE CHANCE YOU WILL RUN INTO ACTUAL PEOPLE AND NOT BOTS. ONCE PLAYERS HAVE GOTTEN PAST THE NEW GAME WOW FACTOR (HONEYMOON PHASE) OR REACHED MASTER RANK WHAT TRULY IS LEFT IN TERMS OF THE EXPERIENCE? MONEY EARNED AND SPENT IS EASY TO CALCULATE AND PUT IN A BOX. PLAYER EXPERIENCE IS BASED ON EACH INDIVIDUAL AND COMPLAINTS COULD SIMPLY BOIL DOWN TO BAD LUCK. I say this as someone who played the game day one when it came out even getting the free Zeraora gift and bonuses that came with playing day one. It was fun for a while, but playing the game without friends I realized that there isn't much here if you aren't a fan of MOBAs or hard fan of Pokemon to keep you invested. REMEMBER THE GAME FREE. The store has all these amazing clothes for the Pokemon which have NEVER appeared in mainline games and the games that did have outfits for your Pokemon are reserved for poster children like Pikachu and Eevee( Let's G0 ). The skins alone are enough to make people spend money. I feel like most of the effort for this game is geared towards the store and in-game purchases then the actual game because there is no why that in the 3 YEARS this game has been out there are only 2 main maps. The maps are incidental in terms of layout with the only difference the mobs that spawn. If they cared even a little they could easily just reskin it again at the bare minimum. I could make a WHOLE VIDEO about why I don't like UNITE, but I don't think it's worth the headache. I only ask players if you don't like the experience to stop playing and spending your money. They can't make money if no one is playing to spend that money. Ask Concord how that went.

12uigi ain't Muk-ing around anymore. Honsetly, I feel their pain regarding Unite. I've been playing less, though it's still one of my most played games on Switch. There's a lot of... problems Unite has, from the recent predatory movements (Treasure Chest Challenge) to even other smaller blemishes (Matchmaking, worthless Holowear Tickets and Fashion Tickets). Hell, even I've complained about how brutal the Treasure Chest Challenge is, especially to free2play players like me. I really wanted the Sylveon Holowear, but dear god there's such brutal returns it's not even fun; and it's why I'm choosing to ignore all future Treasure Chest Challenges, because they're not worth the time and money.
