If it was Pure Luna and not Luna+Birds sure. The fact it wasnt a pure Luna pack means there was no guarantee Doug would pull enough for a playable version and not end up with a zombie mishmash of both archetypes. Going for the Phantasm spyral pack was the better choice sadly Doug did not pull enough copies of Pacifis to play it effectively

So... Something I think might help a little bit with the issue of not pulling what you need for the strat: Since secret packs require you either draw or craft a card already in the pack... perhaps Dzeeff and MBT could use whatever card they crafted for the secret pack as apart of the cards they can use for that episode? (seeing as it would give them at least one guaranteed SR/UR for the duel and they have to craft the card anyway)

As the year comes to a close I just wanna say that it has been an absolute blast watching your videos over the past 12 or so months. I slowly came back to yugioh because I happened upon a Farfa reaction to Prog and seeing some Yu-Gi-Oh game having an insane amount of viewers on Twitch sparked my interest in getting back into actually playing for the first time since like 2005. Then your videos, along with MBT’s and the other ygo content creators’, popped up in my recommendations and I haven’t gone back since. I enjoy every video and series I’ve watched from this community but I can confidently say I enjoyed yours the most so I really do wanna thank you for all the smiles and laughs this past year. Finding out about and getting into this community really helped me a lot this year and I hope it does the same next year, so here’s to an even better 2023

Here's an idea I had for a funny, semi-competitive video or series you could do with a guest. Each duelist makes a list of three archetypes. Then you each lock in one archetype from the other duelist's list, followed by one from your own list, and then toss a coin to determine who gets which of the remaining two archetypes. Finally, build a deck using 13 cards from each of your archetypes and one card of your choice, then duel! (Extra deck can only include cards from your archetypes, but in any ratio) Quick example: you name Altergeist, Fabled, and Frogs. MBT names HERO, Wind-Up, and Danger. You lock in HERO, he locks in Altergeist. You lock in Fabled, he locks in Wind-Up. The coin toss gives you Danger and him Frogs. You now have to build HERO Fabled Danger vs MBT with Altergeist Wind-Up Frogs.

Haven't watched yet, but you are out of your mind passing up the luna light pack. Even without any SRs or URs I suspect it's an insanely strong deck in sealed. Crimson fox, yellow marten and a fusion that can attack multiple times and can't be destroyed by battle can still OTK, and is more than enough to carry.

I get it, the luna/lyri pack is a bit too high roley and they aren't perfect together to say the least, but Lyrilusc are my favorite deck at the moment so it did hurt my heart a little when both of you skipped it. Though admittedly, the respun packs are pretty cool too so i'm sure it's fine regardless

Lunalight does not play well into Pacifis had Doug pulled enough copies to play it. Infernoids however does. To top it off there was no guarantee Doug would pull enough Lunalights to even make it playable due to the set being a mixed set
